After replacing all 1.5" underground pool plumbing with 2" piping, I had the lines professionally pressure tested as a favor no cost to me. I was informed that lines were tested at 12 PSI and were good to go. After some research I found that pool lines are routinely tested at 15 PSI. Wanting to have zero doubt of the plumbing integrity and not wanting to have to pay a professional, I ordered this kit with some extra plugs, retested the lines at 15 PSI. Not only was this kit very quick and easy to use, I'm happy to say "I AM good to go". Thank you for this great money saving product, I would highly recommend!

Helped me fix my issue. The pool company charges more than this to do the job once. Just buy one and do it yourself. If you own a pool it should just be another tool you have on hand.

The only trouble we had was one of the stoppers kept popping out at only 8psi of air. So that's all we were able to test to on that line. We went ahead and made the assumption that the line was good because of the explosiveness it popped with and the guage held perfectly steady until we breached that pressure. My guess is the angle the plugs are formed at is too steep. The only thing I'd change on this kit is that. And maybe add a set of deeper plugs for that price.

i had a professional pool leak detection company come out. They found one leak and I fixed it - still was loosing water - they just said I must have done a bad job. I purchased this and found 3 other leaks they missed and was able to fix all of them as well. Will say that the hayward 1023 return fitting was the cause of two of my leaks, underground flex PVC and a cracked fitting were the other two. With this system I was able to quickly confirm that my skimmer and pool cleaner lines were good and that my original repair was good too. Could hear the air underground behind the fiberglass and found water spraying from a cracked pipe as well. This is worth it if for no other reason then it lets you know where the problem is not so you can look in the correct direction.

The instructions clearly state that the plug coming off the tester “the top edge of the plug should be even it down inside the pipe being tested”. The description says the kit will fit “all” 1 1/2” pvc pipe and fittings. My entire pool plumbing is 1 1/2” pvc and even the smallest plug with this kit only fits about half way in. Because if this, you have to make multiple attempts to test at the 10-15 psi without the plug popping out. Even when it does stay in, it’s basically right on the verge of popping out so every line I tested had a little bit of leak down. Had the kit came with a plug small enough to fully fit inside a 1 1/2” pvc union opening I think I would have had much better results.

Cannot be used. Of course I didn't see that once opened you can't return it..so none used and because I opened bag I can't return. Waste of money.

Had a leak in the pool that i was scratching my head on how to find. Ordered this, placed on teh return lones, with in 5 mins i found the leaks. Found 4 pin holes on the retun lines. Cut out the section and installed a new piece.

Cheaper than hiring it out and easier than piecing it together yourself. Thanks Mike.
