Efficient, useful, enjoyable read for business owners and marketers
As a brand strategist and small business owner, I found Brand New Name very helpful and enjoyable to read. It's a perfect mix of inspiration and instruction. The steps are laid out clearly and many examples are provided. Would definitely recommend to anyone who has or not had previous naming experience.

This book is godsend to marketers and founders everywhere. As a brand strategist, I work with clients on their brand story and sometimes "dabble" in name generation, but it's such a painful process, I usually avoid it. Executives get crazy when picking names, everyone has an opinion or thinks they are an expert, and-diverse groups can't come to clear consensus on what will resonate with customers, so they end up with the least common denominator - and it's usually awful. With this book, we can FINALLY follow a smooth process to generate and choose an ideal company, product, or offering name. Jeremy Miller does a great job in explaining why naming matters, simplifying the process, and his inspiration and case studies offer rich context to learn from. Also, the book is beautifully designed, making it an easy (and fun ) read. Highly recommend this book to anyone who has to name anything - and ensure it's a name that stands out, makes sense, and inspires not just customers but employees as well!

A concise but powerful guide to crafting a new product or company name
Jeremy Miller provides a well-thought out process and has proven its value by using it in his own branding work. I bought the book because even after having done 9-10 product or company names I knew we needed help. Our strategy was too loose and we wasted time going down rabbit holes.In a time when it's near impossible to find an available domain name to support the new company name, you probably need help too to find something unique. This book is not too long. Every page contributes to the process. He also includes a valuable resource guide at the end of the book to help you find and protect your new brand.

Finally! A real plan!
Jeremy does a great job breaking this book into 3 sections. He lays the groundwork for what makes a great name for your product or business. He gives you a solid plan to generate ideas. Then, he shows you exactly how to pair down the list so you can choose a name that connects your brand to your customers in a meaningful way. It’s a perfect plan especially if you’re working with a bigger group of folks. His plan removes the guesswork and offers a step-by-step process to nail your name.

Very Well Done Book
Brand naming is fiercely difficult and more often than not, requires the support of brand naming agencies such as River + Wolf, Catchword, ZinZin, Tanj, and others. For in-house marketing teams, however, who find themselves charged with this daunting task, or for smaller companies or solopreneurs who may not have the resources necessary to bring on the professional expertise of a brand naming agency, this book is a goldmine. The writing is well crafted, the exercises well thought out, and the overall presentation inviting and engaging. The author clearly cares about his audience!

This book is very much amazing. It has settled my anxiety quite a bit in trying to come up with names; even goes into brand strategy a bit. Very insightful case-studies and practical guides. Thank you guys.

Excellent book to exit the naming quagmire
Have been stuck on how to proceed with business plan, mostly the naming part. This book opened several mental blocks to get the juices flowing. Stopped reading after Name Strategy to get to work. Am working on that and the revelations are amazing, especially if you've been working on a product or company for a few years, which helps full in the blanks of the worksheets provided in the book. Thank you Jeremy, truly a good read.

Excellent resource
I’m so glad Jeremy has written this book on naming. As a trade mark lawyer it's highly useful to point people to a book that's accessible on the topic when I want to explain that it’s essential to choose a name that is legally available and protectable. People have opinions on names. Some think they can just have a name they like regardless that someone else already owns the name. Or they believe names that say on the tine exactly what the business or product does are the way to go. What's needed is a name that is suggestive of the solution not directly descriptive. It may not be easy to come up with such names, but that’s what good naming is all about. Anyone can blatantly describe a product or service. Where is the skill in that? I love the fact that Jeremy has created a process for organisations to find a name themselves instead of delegating the work to an agency. Names provide the best possible opportunity for a business to stand out and attract its target clients. A well chosen name will also protect the business against competitors offering me too solutions. There is a lot more to names than people realise and it’s a job well done that Jeremy has explained it all in his beautifully designed book. Recommended reading

All the naming processes we usually do are here, but for the firs time they’ve got a name and a proper methodology.Really easy, fun, and quick book.
