Good carb, faulty idle jet.
Carb comes well packaged in a plain box with no markings to indicate manufacturer or country of origin. The threaded/barbed fuel inlet is a great improvement over the stock ones that are known to pull out. I put this on a new 1776 with the 130 main and 60 idle jets that are included. I couldn't get the engine to idle at all and the adjustments had little or no effect. I've heard about faulty idle jets on the Chinese Solex clones, so I swapped out the idle jet with a spare one I had and now have no problem making adjustments and getting a perfect idle. I can't say this is as good as a genuine Solex, but it's certainly better than a 40 year old worn out one. I should add that I only paid $87 for this, I see the price is quite a bit higher now.

Great carb for the price, check and make sure accelerator pump jet is secure before installing
Got the carb and it came in a good quality box with no markings, while I was looking at the carb the accelerator pump jet fell out of its "socket" in the carb, easy to pop back in but made me give 4 stars instead of 5 because if it had fallen off and gotten sucked into my engine I would of been very unsatisfied. Good carb otherwise, just check the accelerator jet and anything else that could be loose before you install.

fired up the engine and it runs like a top
Installed the carb today, fired up the engine and it runs like a top. Easy to install, even for a not-so-great mechanic like me. Be careful with that back nut. It's tough to get on, especially if you have big hands. The old carb was a 30PICT and replaced it with the 34, since my engine is dual port. Replaced the gas line at the same time. Can't say how long it will last, but it's great right now.

Very impressed by the quality and performance!
Installed and started. Did nothing and ran perfect out of the box. Very impressed with build quality and performance. I did install an electric fuel pump before starting. Couldn't be happier. Highly recommend this for a stock 1600.
