Perfect fresh tortillas, delivered safely.
I am celiac and have been eating gluten free for about 15 years. Until recently my daily diet included a couple of slices of GF bread. About a year ago, I noticed that I was getting sleepy and having trouble with focussing my eyes after eating bread, and finally early this year, I gave it up. Later I realized that the reaction was probably to the yeast in it.Since I love Mexico food and particularly tortillas, which can be used in so many ways, I replaced the bread with a couple of tortilla a day. But then the shopping challenges started. Grocery-store tortillas are loaded with preservatives I don't eat. Health food store tortillas are crazy expensive and generally not just plain corn tortillas, but more elaborate productions.A great day was when I discovered in a Latin grocery store about 40 miles from home a brand (Milagro) of fresh tortillas with nothing but corn masa and water in them. Opening the bags was a revelation as the scent of corn wafted out. I bought five packages at a very reasonable price and took them home, sticking most of them in the freezer until I needed them. When I ran out I made the trip again. And then again. And then I started to get tired of making this trip. Which brought me to Amazon.I was frankly astounded to find a source of fresh tortillas here. No preservatives, exactly what I was looking for. Pricier than the 40-mile-drive tortillas. But the eight-pound package drove the price down to $4 a pound, and these packages are at least twice the size of the Milagros. So all in all a decent deal. It was a little work to find space in my crowded freezer for all those tortillas, but definitely worth it.So how are they? They are perfect. They are soft and flexible right out of the refrigerator. Heated on a comal or dry frying pan (or with a spritz of oil if you think they'll stick) they become a little tougher when they bend (so they don't tear when you stuff and fold them. I prefer to toast mine a little longer and eat them flat with melted cheese and some chopped cilantro and tomato (my everyday breakfast). When I take a new pack out of the freezer, I unthaw it in the refrigerator so the moisture inside can reabsorb naturally. I believe these tortilla are packaged very quickly after their initial cooking to transform the masa dough into a solid tortilla. That's why you'll see moisture in the bag if you thaw them out too quickly. Even if it happens, it's not a problem. Just take what you are using in the moment, reseal and put it in the refrigerator.there are a lot of tortillas in these bags. It's unlikely you're going to use them all at once. Since you have to tear or cut the bag to open it and it doesn't reseal, you have to find another way to protect the extras from drying out until you want more. I use a quart-size zip bag, tuck the tacos into one corner,, fold it over lengthwise, almost close zip, fold the excess bag over the top, press out as much air as you can, and finish zipping it closed. This keeps them from drying out or, horrors, getting moldy. I have not lost one taco with this method, despite forgetting to re-refrigerate the bag sometime for a whole day. After all these words, did I forget to say they taste good? They do. They also have that lovely corn smell that is so different from leathery tacos from the supermarket. No matter how you use your tortillas, they perform exactly as a tortilla should. Finally, I should add that the packing for the eight-pound pack was excellent. They fit tightly in a hard cardboard box and arrived in perfect shape. In sum, I highly recommend them and thank the company for producing.By the way, since February I dropped one clothes size and am close to dropping another. Who'd think giving up bread could do that?

Great taste and customer services!
My original review: I likely didn’t read thoroughly enough to notice the size before ordering so I was a little disappointed. The taste is good but they fall apart very easily.UPDATED: Del Campo reached out to me right away to resolve my dissatisfaction and I'm so glad they did. I received a fresh batch and was beyond satisfied. They even sent multiple sizes even though it was my fault for ordering the wrong size in the first place. I haven't tried grilling or warming the tortillas over open flame but they are very good heated in a pan.

Interesting but needs work.
Tortillas are my favorite, this is the first time tried this brand, microwaved them as package directed, flavor was very nice but they peeled on the outside. The product may not have been fresh and with heat it peeled did not seem to affect the flavor but was sticky to handle especially since they are quite thick. Overall was a good product, not sure if I would get them again.

yummy,healthy, good price
I had my doubts about changing from flour to corn. SO love flour tortillas but I'm trying to avoid gluten. Corn has no gluten. Gluetin is a BAD ACTOR for health reasons. So pleasantly surprised. A quick few seconds in the microwave they become soft and pliable and so flavorful. Noel. Georgia

all natural!
I am so thankful to find a tortilla brand that doesn't have any preservatives or additives (which I react to). I was about to give up on ever having tortillas again until I stumbled across this brand. and these tortillas are great and tasty and I'm happy to finally be able to have tortillas again! thank you so much!

One of the worst things I have ever eaten!
I can't say anything good about this, and as far as I'm concerned if it could have zero stars it should. They don't roll like a taco should they crumble and turn into bits and pieces and planks. They taste like cardboard. Our hands down the nastiest tacos I have ever eaten in my entire life. Would never buy them again and if it wasn't food I would demand my money back immediately. These are just vile! Save your money, do not buy this product unless you like to eat paper.
