Total eclipse of the light
These curtains are the ish!!! I mean, they are wonderful, full block out, decent and clean material, no weird smell, but the most important thing for me is that they do block the light. You can see the difference in the photo I uploaded.

Wash & Dry Before Hanging
These curtains look & feel like a textured plastic table cloth. Colors are good & they definitely block light but I can't get past the plastic look of them. I'm returning them.REVISED: The color is good enough that I wanted to keep them. I washed & dryed them and the way they hang is greatly improved. Keeping them.

Perfect for neutral/farmhouse decor
Perfect natural color - very light beige/tan. No yellow hue like I was scared of. Has “hatching” of brown thread throughout ( see close up picture). Blocks out a lot of the light- but not total blackout. Thick and durable feeling. I washed and lightly dried before hanging and they held up perfectly!Bought 2 more sets afterwards. Great buy!

These curtains (52x84in) were exactly what I was looking for to put in my sons room. They block out the light very well and the texture of the curtains are pretty rough so they’re durable. I washed them on cold and hung to dry as soon as I received them. They had white residue on them from the soap, I’m assuming but when I rubbed the fabric together it got everything off. I will say the material on the back of them kind of stuck together due to washing them, even on cold. But it’s not too noticeable once you straighten it all out. Overall, I’m very pleased.

Not blackouts; "liner" is only a thin coating of paint; disintegrated COMPLETELY in washer.
After carefully combing through reviews here prior to ordering, I almost can't believe how awful these turned out to be.For starters, they fail completely at their single most important task: blocking light. The artificially-distressed pattern on the front of these curtains appears to have been made with some sort of sharp corrugating/scoring instrument, and as a result the liner on the back is inundated with dimpled holes behind each of the "scratches" in the front pattern - all of which allow streaks of light to shine completely through.Let's talk more about that "liner," which is actually not a liner at all. It's an extremely-thin single layer of cheap, vinyl/latex-like paint (PVA primer is my guess). It might block a tiny bit of heat and a fair amount of light due to its white color - but only if it were intact and only if it were durable... neither of which are the case with these. I lightly scratched at a corner of this paint with a (dull, trimmed) fingernail upon receipt, and a large swath instantly scraped away. You can tell that the manufacturer cut every possible cost here; even cheapo paint would have probably done the trick if 1) more than a single minimal layer were applied, and 2) if they had opted for a water-safe formula... more on that below.Okay - so, straight out of the box, we have extremely pricey "washable" "blackout" curtains with a "liner" that only block SOME light (except for big, obnoxious bright streaks all over each panel), and we know that the "liner" on the back (which is the only thing blocking any of that light at all) will definitely rub itself off quickly with normal use - if it doesn't come off in a light breeze long before then. After all that, was it even possible that they could be "washable?" I had a strong suspicion that the included care instructions—which explicitly state that these are machine washable in cold water, gentle cycle—were total BS at this point, so I thought I'd put it to the test. What's the worst that could happen? A little paint in my dryer screen?... well, I never even made it to the dryer. Just washing these was a huge mistake. The ENTIRE curtain—front fabric side and rear painted side—disintegrated in a cold water gentle wash cycle. All that remained were scraggy tangles of fabric strands wrapped around the agitator along with big clumps of flaky paint. I took great care not to wrap them around the agitator when loading, by the way, and I have a LOT of very delicate clothing and blankets that would fall apart in a normal cycle but do perfectly fine in my washer on gentle - so I can confidently say that this was definitely not user-error, and absolutely would have happened the same way in any washing machine out there.I'm going to be cleaning that garbage out of my basin and filters for weeks.HARD PASS on these! Such a huge disappointment. (Curtain shopping online has become a nightmare lately). As far as alternatives go, out of the dozen or so brands I've now tried, I can only recommend Carson or Deconovo blackouts. Carson blackouts (the least expensive option I've found) have a liner that is similar to these but not nearly as bad (have survived several washes so far and still block light completely), but they seem to be out of stock of everything lately (though check your local Home Depot, they carry the brand - and if you happen to also need semi-sheers, look at the Home Decorators Collection brand while you're there, as those are exceptional value:cost). While Deconovo blackouts only block about 95% of light on their own, they are thick, very well made and block heat and sound very well - and when paired with another halfway-decent blackout curtain or liner behind them, they do block light completely.

Nope!
After seeing the 5 star reviews, I was so disappointed in these curtains. Even so, I thought I'd give them a chance and hang them. Nope. Nada. Nein. Horrible! They looked pretty in the package only and when you actually see them, they looked more like shower curtains AND they, in my opinion, felt like shower curtains. The only thing I liked was the color as it was a very pretty teal. Other than that, nothing else was redeeming about these curtains.

Great curtains!
These look amazing. They’re really nice quality, the linen looks so nice and beautiful. I haven’t tried to get the wrinkles out yet but I’m super happy with them. Light obviously still gets through a little but they work for what I need. The photo of the curtains closed the blinds are also closed.

Good Blackout Curtains
These curtains really block out the sun. The white blackout curtains provide a clean look and does a great job keeping the room cool. You can mix them with other drapery.

Creases won't come out after washing, steaming, using weights etc. Blocks most light.
Pros:Exceptional light blocking for white curtains with white backing.Material is thick (plastic coated backing with canvas front and edges.Negatives:Impossible to remove the creases. Tried many things but didn't work. Looks horrible. Some flecks of light go through pinhole sized areas on fabric (quality / manufacturing issue).Top corners flop over when hanging so doesn't look greatNone of any of my other brand curtains have the above issues - so this is a quality / manufacturing problem.I suggest to avoid unless you don't care about appearance.

Don't hesitate to buy these curtains.. they are great
I bought a second pair of these curtains in teal because the larger natural colour ones I originally ordered for my daughter were very well received - she loved them. I washed and dried these using the included instructions, which really did take out 90% of the wrinkles. I wanted them shorter but did not have the right type of thread for the sewing machine, so I turned these up 18" without cutting using heat-fusible seam tape. I was really worried about melting the plastic backing but it worked just fine with a hot iron. A final iron on the front was all it took to make them look great. They are not super stiff and drape nicely. Best of all, they really work well for shutting out cold and drafts when they are closed. I live in Canada, this is essential! You can see from the picture the colour is on the aqua side of teal - the linen-like texture is well done and quite nice as well.

Nice curtains
We needed blackouts for our living room because with summer coming, the heat from the sun in there is brutal. These are nice heavy curtains and my only complaint is that one is wrinkled /creased on the edge and I've tried everything to get it out but can't. Overall, good value for good curtains and I would still recommend them

Loved the color of these drapes
These drapes match my dining room perfectly. The teal color matches the color of my dining set perfectly. Yes they were very creased when I opened the package. I'm a sewer so I use my steam iron often. I was a little hesitant at first to iron so I used a special cloth I have to try and iron them with steam but that that didn't work. I then tried a small corner using the steam Iron on the right side of the fabric and it worked. Just make sure your iron is steaming when you press the lines in the fabric and as you can see they are hanging perfectly with no creases.

You get what you pay for
Not the worst, not the best. They look okay, despite the wrinkles that took forever to get out of them but they feel a bit like a shower curtain. Despite that, they do the job blocking out the light and any potential peeping neighbours since our principle faces the street and a cul de sac…and my husband never seems to the fully close the blinds. I cringe to think about it…thank goodness for these curtains. Good if you’re on a budget and want something that looks decent.
