Great upgrade for home
V Tech is a great phone. This replaced an older version for Bluetooth connect to cellphone and ability to block unwanted calls. Poor cell service (1-2 bars) in one room at home but with cellphone Bluetooth connection to VTECH provided phone service throughout home. Landline service or cellphone sound clear. Simple setup and easy to use. Great value, highly recommend.

Bluetooth Not What I Hoped
The phones were nice with great features which did not work for me in reality. I was really hoping that I connect my cell phone through the Bluetooth and answer both from the handset. I got my cell phone to connect but the call quantity was not there and calls were constantly dropping. I am not sure if this had something to do with my iPhone or having the base close to the router? I ended up returning the phone.

Works Well but This is an Older Model & Box Was Missing one Battery
I selected the Used, But Like New option for a set of four Vtech call-blocking phones (at approx. half the price of the newer model). They were offered on the site with the newest model, but this is actually an older model. Will it affect their performance? I don't know; I was primarily interested in the call-blocking feature and presume it will work as well as our other set of four phones. There were two problems with this order: 1) there were only 3 batteries supplied with the 4 phones, and, 2) of the four units, I needed to have one of the phones installed on a wall. The set comes with a wall hanger but one can only mount the base unit on it, which is not where I wanted to position the base unit. Three of the units are clustered in close proximity to one another, while the fourth unit is in the basement. All of them seem to be working just fine, even with the greatest distance between the base unit and the one which is setup in the basement, but, so far, no complaints.

Painful design
I got this set to move away from one with soft buttons which inevitably break over time. Boy, was I wrong. The design of this set seems purposefully done to torture the user as much as possible.Cons:* The handsets are SLOW to react to user input (e.g. when you scroll through the missed calls, it's slower than one per second). This is by far the worst point, since it affects everything else.* When you enter a number, then pause for a few seconds without dialing (e.g. to look for something), the handset decides it waited long enough for you and erases everything you typed, without any way to get it back other than typing the number again. This might seem like a small thing until you are trying to call a number as you hear the digits from somewhere, and then quickly stop to write down some info you will need in the call.* The missed calls obscure voice messages, so until you clear all the missed calls you won't know whether you have any messages.* There is no way to look just at missed calls, so if you missed one a while ago you have no choice but to _slowly_ scroll one entry at a time through the call log until you find the culprit.* It doesn't have voice announcement. Until now, I didn't realize how useful this was to hear who is calling without interrupting your work to look.* Only a couple of years down the road, the microphones on the handsets mysteriously stopped working. In the darkness of your home, nobody can hear you scream.* No clip to hang it to your shirt while talking and working around the house.Pros: you can use it for basic function, sometimes.

Saved Our Sanity
Before we install this VTech phone, we were getting three to four spam calls a day, sometimes more. We are on the Do Not Call List but the spammers are finding new ways around this.Installation was easy. There's even a voice feature that will walk you through setup. The calls stopped immediately. You will only get calls you add to your white list. Unsolicited callers get a prompt that asks them to press pound and leave a message. Robot spammers can't do this. There was one problem we had initially. I noticed we were getting a call every 30 minutes (which did not ring) but there was no CID information. We tried to resolve this through the very patient VTech support but nothing was working. We were also getting strange readings from our home alarm system. I decided to pack up the phone and send it back. At the 11th hour, before return the phone, we figured out what happened. We recently had a new fiber transceiver installed to the house. Also, we do not have messaging service through our phone provider because this phone has an answering machine. What happened is the new fiber box turned on messaging. The messaging service sends a signal every 30 minutes to your phone. Therefore, the VTech was showing a call every 30 minutes. Problem solved. We kept the phone and it has been blissfully quiet ever since.
