It was easy to install. I am still waiting for the concrete to cure before mounting a flag, it has been really windy here (eastern washington state).When I ordered, I searched for an American made flagpole. I wanted to buy American. When I received the package, the box was stamped made in China. I will still keep it, but made the attempt to buy American. I will fly my wife's deceased grandfather's flag (WWII veteran) on it.

I love everything about the flag pole except the snap clips that connect the flag to the pole they are easy to brake and cheaply made.

Bought this as a Christmas present for my husband. It’s good for the price. It isn’t as sturdy as I would like but it was cheap so lesson learned. We had some gusty winds (15-20mph) and it messed up the pole to where it won’t fully extend now.... I can see it wobble a bit in the breeze.

I haven't installed it yet. After reading the instructions where it says to mount base in sand. AH no, I'll take the time and make sure the hole is the correct size 18x16 inches deep put in some river rock for drainage. Then I'll level the base PVC and fill it with concrete. This looks like it should last a long time. Not sure about the flag but it was free with the pole.

Pretty disappointed in this. Got it last year for my husband for Christmas and just a week ago the whole pole completely snapped in half right at the base where it is inserted into the ground. I thought the quality was pretty good when we first got it but I'm really upset that it completely broke like this not even after having it a full year. We also consistently had problems with it not staying completely up and the telescoping poles would fall into eachother at the slightest movement from wind. We didn't want to tape it because that defeats the whole purpose of it being telescoping and easy to take the flags off and on.

I'd like to find out why this pole keeps falling down. Not out of the ground but when we raise it and tighten it, it doesn't stay up!! What's wrong? Please advise.

Given the price, I was worried about the quality of this flagpole but when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised. I would have paid more for everything to be metal over plastic, but this is a beautiful flagpole that’s easy to set up. I especially like that I can easily lower it on windy days. I also purchased a solar light kit for it that was easy to add-on (sold separately).I would modify the instructions to put 6” of gravel at the base of your hole and use quikrete to secure it. A post-hole digger works to dig a perfect hole.

Main issue is the pole will not stay fully extended to max height. The compression collars at each section, particularly at the bottom and the top, loosen and cause the pole sections to collapse. They hold when initially tightened. But after a few days, one collar loosens, then a day later, a second one, until the pole is near ground height. Not sure if it's a design defect or inferior materials. Either way, I would not recommend this item to others for purchase.
