Just put this unit together... 2 hours for one person (would have been less with help!). One of the best assemble-it-yourself pieces we've seen since the screws and hardware are all labeled by number in separate plastic bags and the furniture pieces are all labeled by letter (on a very small tag which you have to look for). Once their system was understood it was just a matter of common sense. Did the entire assembly with just 1 Phillips screwdriver.A few caveats... some pieces have long grooves which are to hold the very thin back panels. Make sure the grooves are always at the back when assembling or you'll have to take it apart and try again. Like we said, the back panels are very thin, almost flimsy. We'll probably use some of the Styrofoam panels it came with and some heavy duty glue to shore them up from the back (which has the added benefit of letting us inch it closer to the wall without hitting). All in all a better experience than some other kits (including IKEA).This was purchased for our home office use to help organize the overflow of small things, envelopes, extra pens, etc. etc. etc. We won't be putting heavy files anywhere except maybe the bottom shelf because we don't want to bend the upper shelves. We bought the white version and there were no obvious scratches.If it were sturdier, especially the back, we would have given 5 stars.

It arrived (3) days later than expected (but it's the holiday season, so no big...I was beginning to think it might get lost/damaged...but...I received it on a Saturday....After ordering, I went back and was reading some of the reviews and frankly, I was in no hurry to open the box. When I finally had time to put it together the following Friday, I said a small prayer (literally), opened the package and slowly began to pull out the pieces.....Unlike so many reviews, all parts were intact, NO damage, and NO scratches! Next, I followed each step, (they made perfect sense to me, at least), I took my sweet time making sure to get it right (because I didn't want to find myself taking it back apart like so many reviewers complained about)...I suggest to anyone making a purchase to just follow each instruction block in order and pay attention-- you shouldn't have any problems putting it together on your own (I waited until my boyfriend wasn't around and put it together by myself because he would have gotten on my nerves trying to take over...and I would have been like, "dude, I know I'm just a lowly woman, but I got this!"...anyway, I digress..LOL. So, everything went smoothly and the doors lined up perfectly also...! It's exactly what I was hoping/expecting....once it was completely put together it feels very sturdy and not weak and unstable as in many reviews. Maybe I got lucky, I don't know, but I love it! Will try and update with a photo once I get my entryway decor situation completed, but thanks HomCom...I'm good with it. No complaints from me anyway...

Have been building a bunch of assembly furniture lately and this has been by far the hardest/most frustrating to build based on the fact the instructions were poor and the labeling was wrong on some of the parts. Additionally the back boards of the cabinets were so flimsy and almost impossible to put together. One of the screws was also too small and wouldn’t hold the door magnet tight. Would not recommend buying although I do like how it looks all together.

Negative first: one of the support pieces was broken. I will ask the company to replace it but the meantime I used hard as nails and Uline tape to keep it together.Picture directions were fine except could use fine tuning. I am not sure if I put the hinges on rightPut the doors on while the piece is laying flat, if assembling by yourself.Doors and first shelf are very thin. I used a piece of the styrofoam from the box to strengthen the shelf but will make a better fix. The shelf will bend into the doors if too much weightPositive: I love it. The piece is attractive with or with out the doors. I was looking for a piece that was tall enough not to be dwarfed by the dresser, long enough for my TV and a width that did not take up too much room. This piece is almost a perfect fit and very sturdy. I am a 69 year old female and other than having to prop up the doors, I was able to easily assemble.There were no nicks or scratches on the pieces and all the hardware fit and holes aligned.

I like it a lot. It fit the space perfectly and does what I needed it to do, provide more storage in my small kitchen. It wasn't hard to put together, but the instructions were ambiguous at times and I had to really think some of the steps through before I proceeded. I put it together myself and it took about an hour. My only real complaint is that the door magnet closure mechanism is a bit tenuous and we have to manipulate the doors to keep them closed. Other than that it's a very good unit!

I absolutely hated the process of putting this together. The instructions were confusing, entirely images and many of them were so complex it was incredibly difficult to decipher what pieces go where. There was no written instructions, just pictures with numbered or lettered parts. Some if the drawings so condensed that I missed parts multiple times because I couldn’t tell what was what. I’ll take ikea assemblies ANY DAY over this piece again.The piece is beautiful once done, and even though I missed the needed screw and leg for one part, it still seems sturdy.I absolutely will never buy this piece again though, simply because the assembly was so tedious. Unless someone else assembles is for me of course!

Pros: the way its assembled and the instructions are easy to figure out. Plenty of extra pieces.Cons: I was shipped 3 and the boxes have the same model and picture but two of them were the dimensions the seller had stated and one was clearly different. It was taller by a half inch, was missing the 5th leg and had longer handles. Disappointing if you are trying to run 3 together to make a counter.

the doors and walls are thin. not good if you have kids around rough housing. easy to install but instructions could be better for those who are not carpentry inclined.

It's a pretty item but hard to assemble and thr back is just paper . Not easy to move

beautiful, sturdy, very spacious, excellent!easy instructions, my daughter who is 6 months pregnant assembled this unit by herself in only 1 hour! it is a beautiful clean line unit, very happy with it!

I really liked how easy it was to build but it scuffs so easy and I moved it over a bit and a lot of the pieces shifted and cracked :( doesn't hold together very well.
