Takes on Water
The float that I purchased was supposed to be filled with foam. However, after just a week after receiving it, I noticed that it expanded and contracted with the difference of temperatures. I then realized that there was water in the float. I also noticed that there was a 1 1/4 plug in the top of the float. I unscrewed it and air gushed out of it under moderate pressure. The float was not fully filled with foam. It was partially filled with it. It took on water without even being in the water. It had rained for two days. Therefore, I had to put a cheap valve check on it where the 1 1/4 plug was threaded, so that air pressure would not build up and so that water would not enter the float. In addition, with the expansion and contraction of the float, bubbles formed on the floats bottom and top, separation from the poly and what little foam was beneath it. In the picture of the float, there is no 1 1/4 inch plug that I can actually see. Therefore, I believe this was an incomplete float.

Both My Dock Edge Floats Leak BADLY During First Use.
We are a river cleanup organization - Boardman River Clean Sweep - I bought these (2) dock flotation containers to float docks out of rivers when they have become dislodged from their moorings and become lost into the river and end up in a logjam. We pull the dock out with ropes and then float it back to a landing on flotation blocks for disposal.Since we have to transport these containers in canoes, I bought 2 of the 48" X 24" X 12" lighter ones that were not filled with foam. They are sealed and we don't put them in the river permanently. We just use them for an hour or less and then we store them in a barn until we need them again. These were what I was looking for to use on an upcoming project and the first time I used them for just 20 minutes, they leaked so badly that when we got home, we drained a 1/2 gallon of water out of one and 1/2 gallon out of the other. The water came out of the corner seams fast like there was a 1/4" hole in the box but the container showed no holes or damage or even scratches.I was shocked. How can they call these dock flotation devices when they leak so badly? Even if the bottoms don't leak at all and they only leak on the tops seams, someday the dock will get water on the tops and eventually the whole dock will sink requiring the entire dismantling of the dock to replace these.Get your act together and make your products work. If you say they are sealed, seal them. Geez! These are tough containers and they were exactly what we needed and they would have been a big help to us in the future but I was very disappointed and I returned them for a credit.

Returned both but credited for one
Products looked as described. I sent back both together and paid the high shipping cost... I have a picture of both at the drop off center where I left them. Now I just got notice that they say they only got one back not two... I am sure they got both... I will fix the rating to 5 stars when I get a full credit for the two sent back... Thank you!

big floaty things
I needed a bit more flotation for my pond dock. Added two of these and now my dock is floating high and dry. Very good quality units.
