Great for storing videogames
This shelf is great, I bought it to store all my games that I had in a box since forever. Now it is true that there are two rows with a short height... but that's not a problem since they are perfect for my Ds and GBA games. The assembly was fairly quick and the materials are sturdy enough to keep my games in a nice display.

Glad I bought this!
I have been wanting to get a cabinet for my DVDs for quite some time now and kept having trouble figuring out which cabinet to choose. I looked at this one many times and read most, if not all, of the reviews as well. So, I finally took the plunge and bought it.I am SO glad I bought this cabinet! It is just what I was looking for as it holds all of my current DVDs and still has space left for more. Seeing as how I do not buy many DVDs anymore I have a feeling this will last me a good long while. The cabinet is very sturdy once it is all assembled and the back is put on. I was very impressed that the backing has screws to attach it, unlike many items like this that give you only nails to attach the backing.I will admit that the design is lacking, as others have said, when it comes to use for DVDs. This was my only real concern with buying this as others noted the shelf design means the top and bottom shelves are not tall enough to hold DVDs unless they are laying on their sides. BUT the cabinet is advertised to hold 192 DVDs and it does just that! The fact that the shelves are not designed in a way to hold more DVDs upright is not something to complain about in my opinion (even if I wish it were designed to be able to do so). It holds the amount advertised and if you don't mind putting DVDs on their sides it can hold more than that. The only other issue is the doors, which do not entirely close all the way. This is probably my fault though for not being careful enough when putting those pieces together, plus it is a small enough gap that I'm the only one that will ever notice it (and not enough to deduct from my rating).Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend anyone looking for a DVD cabinet to get this one!

Nice overall
The item came packaged well with no parts missing/broken. They included the tools you'll need to assemble and the instructions are pretty easy to follow, it's also easy to assemble by yourself. All this being said, if you're putting Blurays/Steelbooks on it you'll really only get 4 shelves to put them on unless you customize it like some others have int he reviews. My only issues with this is that for some reason the door on the right (slides left to open) doesn't completely close. It always opens up a bit no matter what. We've leveled it, adjusted the wheels and same thing. Despite this I'll be giving it 5 stars and have reached out to the manufacturer.Edit: after disassembling the item I noticed a few issues that I somehow missed when assembling. The first being that one of my pieces (top one) is a different color, I posted it in a picture with one of the shelves (it's more apparent in person.) second is that the left side piece has started cracking at the bottom where it connects to the bottom (base) piece, while currently not big Im worried about it being a problem in the future. Ialso found 3 random holes on it that serve no purpose (maybe it's normal?), one on the top left side and one on the top right side and one on one of the shelves, none of them go fully through. I used this shelf to put my movies on (bluray/4k) and notice that the shelves provided sag due to there being nothing in the middle to support them. And lastly the original reason I contacted the manufacturer was that the right sliding door wasn't full closing despite making sure it was leveled, we've also adjusted the wheels and for some reason a gap is always there.Edit 2: I've reached out to Amazon since the manufacturer hasn't responded and after a bit of back and forth I've been offered a replacement.

Attractive & space saving
I purchased 2 for my living room. Normally I would have put them together myself, but because they are heavy I had my contractor's guy put them together for me. Only took him an hour & half to put both together. Just about 90 % of my dvd collection fit in them. My only complaint is the same as everyone else had, the placement of the stationary shelf. It causes a loss of some usable space. If it had been situated better I probably could have gotten them all in. They really look lovely in my living room. Are sturdy & other than that one shelf situation, very well built. I might even buy a couple more in the future for my cd collection.

Take your time
This is a nice, inexpensive solution to storing your media. It is not made of solid wood, and of course the directions suck, but take your time, use common sense, and it should go together fine. I like quality furniture too, but I'm poor so I buy the cheap stuff that looks better than milk crates. The color is very dark, so as to look almost black, the handles are a brushed nickel and even though the design is simple it does look good.I wanted a cabinet with glass fronts because I have furry pets and I get tired of moving hundreds of DVDs to dust. This solution was great because now the dust and dirt stays out and I just vacuum and swipe the outside with a damp cloth and its clean. The issue with the items in the center being inaccessible is minor. It is not that hard to move one or two movies so that I can slide the inaccessible one out. The chances are like 16 in 250 that you will need to do this because only three to four things are covered up by the doors in the center of each shelf.I have had this unit in my living room for about six months and I am still very happy with what I received. I could not have purchased a unit of this quality in any of the stores around me, and certainly not for such a good price.
