YOUDO High Intensity Trigger Start Propane Torch with 3 Nozzles, for Soldering Brazing Welding, Self Ignition, Flame Contorl

I have been keeping an eye out for a decent torch whenever I'm at any home improvement, or hardware stores that came with a rosebud tip for heating a larger area than the two I already have, both of which have problems, and if it wasn't such a pain, I would have returned them each after I bought them. All I ever see are cheap ones that are higher priced than what I paid for this torch head... and they always come with a pencil tip. The triggered ones I see are all very similar to each other and none ever have interchangeable tips. They are also lots higher priced than the simple ones with interchangeable tips...that you would be hard pressed to find different tips for anyway! I figured it was a lost cause unless I went to a welding shop and spent the money on exactly what I wanted, but it wasn't all that important to spend lots of cash on a torch since I only need one once in a while and I just borrow from a friend on those occasions. But I saw this one and it seemed like a great tool that even came with three different size tips, it was triggered, and had a valve to turn off the gas so you can leave it on the tank. The best part is that it is priced at about the same as all those cheap ones I see in home improvement stores. With some doubt on the mind my finger pressed the "buy now" link before I could have second thoughts, and I'm really impressed with it! This torch is very well made, it has some heft to it, and feels good in the hand, and it works great! There's nothing cheap about it.

Push-button valve is leaking when released. The flame jumps inside the nozzle and keeps burning there by the pinhole as a tiny fire. This fire is practically impossible to see unless specifically looking for it through the small openings in the pipe. With standard 400 mL propane tank, this flame will be burning there for weeks without anybody even knowing about it. If any flammable dust accumulates in weeks around the torch, everything will be on fire. If somebody leaves this invisibly burning torch near a flammable material like paper, cardboard, shop rug or anything similar, everything eventually will be on fire. I would rate this product at negative five stars if I could.

I had some trouble getting the large tip to light using the trigger. Thankfully the gas adjust is very sensitive and you can dial it in but it’s useless for me because I need it to light reliably, and quickly. Otherwise I love it, two smaller tips are great, output is great, and the quality seems there. I use it very often to heat brass, copper, steel,ect… before applying patina or topcoats on smaller benchtop projects. No pipe sweating here so I can’t weigh in on that.

I’m using this for encaustic painting and the control is amazing!! The flame is even and I can easily set to my needs. The locking trigger is great. Let’s me be creative without worrying about accidents. Love using this, gives me a comfortable feeling that I’m not going to burn the house down. Customer service was excellent. Had an issue and they fixed it right away.

I have had problems with this torch set, Very hard to adjust flame. Tried all three tips several times. The smallest tip is NOT small and Very Very hard to light and adjust. not worth the money at all.
