Prepping the foam takes some time.
I bought two different kinds of foam, pyramid-shaped and mushroom-shaped. It is a little tricky getting the foam to fluff up to normal size, because of the paper on the back that protects the adhesive. Normally, when getting acoustic foam back to its original shape it needs to be completely submerged in water, but if it is done with this foam it dissolves the paper protecting the adhesive and it will become a mess and not stick properly. I found laying the foam in an inch-and-a-half bin of water with the paper right side up is very effective. It needs to soak for about five to seven minutes for each individual piece of foam. This step took a few days given that I was only using two bins of water, so I could only soak two pieces of foam at a time. When ringing the water out of the foam try your best to not get the paper wet and be gentile. It will crinkle and rip a little just take your time and try to keep the paper intact and get as much water as you can out of the foam. Once most of the water is wrung out set it in the sun to dry with the foam facing up, and after a few hours if the paper is wet flip it so the foam is down and the paper is facing the sun. When the paper is completely dry it is very easy to peel the paper and place the foam in its intended place. When applying the foam peel back about two inches of the paper and apply that piece of the foam and gently pull the paper off while pressing the foam to the intended surface. This will prevent a miss hap of the foam sticking to itself. If by chance a piece did not stick completely, I used gorilla spray adhesive to stick it down. I only had this happen with 4 of the pieces, and it was only in a corner it was not the whole piece.I also ended up having to cut some of the foam to fit the space. To do this use a very sharp razor blade to cut it and I advise cutting on a self-healing cutting board, that way when the razor cuts through the foam to the cutting board it will not get stuck and create a jagged cut into the foam, plus its safer. I was soundproofing my ceiling to lower my room noise. I did not want to adhere the foam directly to the cieling so I nailed up some double-walled corrugated cardboard and covered the seams with gorilla duct tape. This extra layer helped to lower the room noise even more. The foam took about 4 days to dry out, given the fact that I had over 130 pieces. The cardboard and foam combined lowered my room noise from -47dB to -63dB. For me the time prepping the foam was well spent to get these results, I will probably do the same to all the walls but for now, I just did a 3-foot by 4-foot panel on the wall behind my microphone. If you are looking to put up foam in a cleaner manner than spraying glue on each square this is the way to go. Yes, the downside is more prep to get the foam right, but I put up all of the foam pieces on the ceiling in one day. Having the glue already on the foam made the actual installation process a lot easier and cleaner.

Nice buy! Would purchase again!
Used as part of a vocal diffuser and have gotten a more accurate sound. Only draw back is having to soak them in water and dry them out before I could use them which takes away from the adhesion. Used spray adhesive to secure the panels

Ok for the $.
Well, the stickiness is ok. I used 3M spray adhesive and it made it stick much better. The stickiness of them is 3/5 stars. With adhesive 5/5. They puffed up nicely in water in 5min and dried out in 3 hours outside in Vegas heat and I put them on the same night. As for soundproofing, they are 3/5. Just enough to be helpful in getting along with tennants with my new Nacamichi sound system that shakes the house. I may spend the $200 for a real soundproofing hanging curtain with real hood #'s when tested. Im satisfied with these with a realistic expectation. Worth buying as part of a 3 piece setup that I've seen and will add it ASAP. Then I'll have done everything needed to enjoy my theater experience with minimal disturbance to the 2 tenants .Took 90 min to put on. Use adhesive spray on the windows and the back of these tiles. You'll get 20% less sound to attached apartments.

Good product just don't get them wet
The product isn't bad, but you cannot wash them like it says to, you'll take off all the adhesive. I love these though they're amazing compared to every one I've used the only issue is that some of them never reached their full size but overall it's 8/10 just don't be upset if you get some the with the thickness of a sheet of paper.Just don't get them wet, give them a day or five to expand before you actually put them up, they will eventually reach the size they're supposed to but it takes weeks and weeks for some but they get there.

Half of these never expanded
Only a few of these actually fluffed up enough to work. They don't stick well at all. Half fell, most stayed flat. It did cancel some noise, but any cloth item will cancel SOME noise Definitely not happy I spent so much on them. Difficult to return, sub par.

Using as headboard
It was a little confusing when I received them and knowing if I was doing the soaking in water right... but wasn't too hard, I put them in the bathtub and the next day I put them to dry outside on the trampoline. They stay in place right, I used them as a headboard for my boys bedroom, so they dont hit their head on the wall when moving at night.

Not as good as advertised
2 in. Thick but not that noise absorbent. Cheap glue doesn’t stay glued to the surface. That fact that has to be water soaked and dry before used it’s a deal breaker.
