Insightful and Thorough Content and Great Drawings
I'm looking forward to doing more exercises. In this and his other books there are examples for sketching subjects from photos, as well as sketching subjects using perspective from imagination and outdoors. The book is applicable to doing watercolors, as well as watercolor pencil and colored pencil. I am a beginner with some classes, and I need to work on perspective, correcting mistakes, and putting a halt to unnecessary habits. Reading this book should help clean up my drawing and sketching. An immediate goal is to broaden my view and have a plan that can improve my overall approach.

Good start
I liked how it broke down the forms of perspective into relatable pieces. The images were a nice touch.. overall a nice intro to perspective and composition

Book is fun learning
Author has simplified how to compose a picture and few rules which you can and should break to make it more interesting. Just as the authors first book, in this book also he has explained in very detail on how to compose and sketch, very easy read for a beginner and if anyone is delaying to take action on sketching, this book actually will force or encourage to get into the mode of sketching. The author has kept the tone informal and playful. This ensures that even though the topic is slightly technical, the book never gets hard to read and is a fun learning.

Understanding perspective
I was disappointed in this book. Reading it was not easy. Part ofthe sentences, especially at the ends. The words were cut off, and someof the pitchures could not be centered on the pages. For someone newto learning perspective this book is difficult to comprehend. I would notrecommend this book for. New artist's.Debra H,

Very In Depth
The book is very technical and goes into super detail about how perspective affects your art, based on the title I was looking for more help with actual sketches, but his attention to and explanation of the reasons why composition and perspective matter, was great.

This should have stayed a website
The actual information contained is okay for beginners who don't have much experience with art, however the presentation leaves much to be desired. The book has a very informal tone (why do you need to say "hell" in an informational book) and also feels poorly edited. It's also annoying that there are blue hyperlink URLs every several pages, which you obviously cannot click since this is a book; in my opinion, no hyperlinks should be present as they distract from the content. There are also qr codes in the book; I think having one qr code would be convenient but having them so frequently is bothersome.Overall, it's a bad experience to read and the actual art advice is sound, but not worth the trouble since it's all easily found elsewhere. It feels like somebody printed out a webpage with little to no changes then put a cover on it, not like it should be a published book. For someone looking for advice on perspective, I would instead recommend Perspective for Comic Book Artists by David Chelsea.

Have Not Finished Reading
I'm still reading this book. I have been struggling with the subject of perspective for a long time. As a result, I have purchased many books on the subject. I like this one because it's different and I like the author's method of teaching. Try a sample. You might agree with me!

A nice book for Pandemic born Artists
Easy to understand basic concepts but no need for elaborated stories....More drawings can be added to create value rather than theoretical chapters.....

It is a book that blends drawing and painting. It deepens in the topics of perspective and shadow. Vive Very good give tips or the beginners.

So that's what was wrong?
To begin with, this book does not teach you the basics of how to to draw. This book is more about using time proven methods of making your drawings look life like.If you've tried your hand at drawing a picture and were discouraged that it did not look life like, then this book might be able to help you figure out why? On the other hand if you a new to sketching/ drawing this book will introduce you to fundamental concepts that will make sure your drawing looks life like.In either case, it will make you conscious of subtle aspects like perspective, horizon etc that will make your work life-like and take it to the next level. As with the last one, this book is packed with author's own examples and links to demonstrative videos which work well to drive home the point.I found this book well worth the time and am looking forward to the authors next book.
