Rumble 100 packs a punch
If you are wondering whether to get a Rumble 15, 25, 40, 100, or 200: personally I suggest the 100. I tried a 40, but it just wasn't quite powerful enough. It's hard to tell from product overviews and videos, but the 100 is actually only a little heavier weight than the 40. And both the 40 and 100 are amazingly light - like in the 25 pound range. The advantage of the 100 is the 10 inch speaker, which gives it a booming low range. I play in 3 bands and use it regularly for 2-3 rehearsals a week plus gigs. It is rock solid. If you are playing a small room I think you can get by with a 100. If you are looking for a huge sound for large rooms, these integrated small amps from Fender and others are probably only going to work for you for home practice and rehearsals. I like the 100 better than the 40 for five reasons: more loud range, fatter low end, about the same weight for lugging to rehearsal (easy to carry in one hand with bass in other hand), more reliable (I had to crank my Rumble 40 and it died twice at rehearsals so I had to return it), and very compact - the 100 is not THAT much bigger than the 40 (you can still use it in a small practice room without it being in the way during the day, and it fits into pretty much any small vehicle with ease). The reason I am writing this review is I had a hard time finding real-world feedback on whether to get a 25, 40, 100, or 200. I think if you want something that is a good tradeoff of sound, lightweight, fairly compact, and a decent price, the 100 is the way to go. A 40 is lower cost and even smaller and lighter weight (but not much lighter, and not much smaller), BUT its really not going to cut it for loud rehearsals. The 25 is for quiet playing at home. The 200 might be great if you need something even louder, but at that size/weight you might want to just think about getting a nice amp and a separate speaker setup. Hope this helps! Disclaimer: I haven't played as much with similar lightweight offerings from other manufacturers, but from the research and videos and music store trials I have done, I think the Fender Rumble 100 stacks up well in the 25-ish pound integrated combo amp category.

It’s a Fender, sounds good, and super light!
I bought this amp to replace a 40 year old super heavy bass amp!The Fender is light enough to carry with 2 fingers and has enough power for what I need now. My back thanks me!

Great amp, just be aware...
This amp is awesome. I really like the line out feature because that way you can take it on stage and do small live gigs with it plugged into the soundboard. My acoustic sounds great on it, my Jackson JS23 sounds amazing, my Schecter Stilleto 5, well...it needs to warm up before working. I know odd right? It's not a tube amp. It's solid state. I even took my Schecter to Guitar Center and tried all of their Fender Rumble amps of different sizes and the same result, it requires 3 minutes before it produces sound, but only this bass. It's whatever though, the amp is great, I just want anyone who owns a Schecter with active EMG pickups to know that this is what happens lol.

Top notch trifecta - amp, price, and seller
Of the practice bass amps that were available in my price range, Fender Rumble easily topped the list. It gets good reviews from the at-large music community. Love em or hate em - Fender is king of the hill. Good price and a really fast delivery from Austin Bazaar got us off to a great start. The foam corner suspension, plastic wrap sleeve, and heavier gauge cardboard box used for factory packaging to prevent shipping damage is a smart spend by Fender. Out of the box I was really impressed with how solid and clean this amp is. Plugged in it sounds as good as it looks. I’ll be using the headphone jack a lot so that option along with an aux input were absolutely must-haves. Equalizer adjustments to dial-in a pro sound make this truly a big-boy amp. The seller included a nice Fender branded cable, and picks with the amp. I also liked that the seller sent me a follow up message after delivery to see if all was good with my purchase, (this is how smart sellers cultivate a return customer). The instructional DVD was missing from my box. Sumeet from AB told me a replacement DVD would be shipped out to me in 24 hours. I received it in a few days. This is a trustworthy seller.Best boom for your bass amp buck right here without question. Fender really has no competition in this low wattage range and Austin Bazaar is a great seller. Top notch trifecta - amp, price, and seller, IMO.

DVD is useless!
The DVD in this bass guitar "bundle" is for accustic and 6 string electric guitar. It has a Cord Dictionary that is NOT applicable to the bass guitar. The seller (rep: Andy) does not know who created the bundle("it was a mistake") , nor has any intent or interest in making this right. As a buyer, don't let the addition of this Instructional DVD be part of your buying decision. Otherwise you will be disappointed.
