Greetings, this is a very good and satisfactory product. I highly recommend it. It has worked perfectly for me. You only need a hard drive and you program it to your liking!

Works great! Excellent customer service.
Works great! Using this for 4 wired exterior cameras. I was a bit confused because I was switching from an existing system but they have Excellent Tech support. They helped me set it up and were very patient. They respond to emails quickly. They walked me thru the connection method using my POE switch instead of the NVR POE ports. I used SDP scan tool to see the cameras on the network and change the IP addresses to match the IPV4 address of my router (making the last 3 numbers of the ip different for each camera). After that, the NVR automatically recognized the cameras and added them to the system. They also walked me thru the App setup on my phone. Now I can view from anywhere. I would recommend this product.

Works great, more features than my last NVR!
My old Hodely NVR bit the dust (I still don't know why) so it was time to get a new one. I was looking to salvage as much of my old system as I could, but it seems the only thing I could get to work with the Hiseeu NVR is my old SSD. After reformatting it, the drive works and is recording video. The old cameras are shot, they will not even respond to my POE switch. I think my old system had a lightning strike or power spike of some kind; even my monitor stopped working.Anyway, the new Hiseeu NVR is expandable, a feature I was eager to get, as I wish I had more cameras. It works with IR mini bullet network cameras https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C8919TJJ/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 that I bought in hopes of their compatibility. I will be ordering more of them and expanding my camera network in the near future. The NVR system has more features than I expected, as you can connect to the internet and view remotely, the system has the ability to track motion, and digital zoom features. I'm glad I bought it.

Lame, temperamental software, support is very slow to reply,
This was an upgrade from my previous Hiseeu NVR which lost its network communications. The previous software/firmware Hiseeu used was horrible. The new one is slightly better, but still not great. The supplied instructions are not written well translation wise.My system doesn't have 8 cameras. I use only 5, but the setup screen insists on populating other channels and will not allow you to delete what's not in use. DumbThe first thing you have to do when you login is come up with a super stringent password which is a pain to peck in with a mouse. This alone took about ten minutesThe network communications does get frozen some and requires a reset daily. The reset is an audible beep that had to be heard each day with no option to mute. LameThe new app that this NVR coordinates with is much better than the old one. I'm no longer subjected to Alibaba product ads before I can see my cameras.Install was tricky and slow for the reasons I listed above, yet I still have one camera that will connect to the network, but it will not record. It's live view only. It makes zero sense.I purchased this so I didn't have to swap out cameras, but my next system will not be Hiseeu.

Easy Installation and User friendly app
My old NVR system broke down and needs a replacement that works flawlessly with the POE cameras at my house. After a long research, I found this system online with a deal price. I hooked it to my home network and it immediately found my cameras and added them to the camera list. It was the easiest setup system. I used the OnFi method to add my old cameras to the new NVR. This system came with a 3TB hard drive and it is recording in H.265 format. Package came with a mouse and an ethernet cable. Great Value, I can recommend.

Decent quality for a cheap NVR
As a 30 year low voltage tech I needed a quick NVR for a system with a mix of IP cameras. This is a pretty cheap NVR but to begin with the POE don't put out enough wattage to power more than one higher end cameras. They might produce enough to power their brand cameras but it did not have enough wattage to power more than one avigilon camera at the same time. So I had to power the other ones through another POE switch. Then I could not get the NVR to show the video from the two Axis cameras that I tried to add to it as well. Then the image from the cameras was not HD quality. I ended up sending this one back and buying an Armcrest NVR and that worked much better the Axis cameras came up right away and for only $80 more, also the HD was actually HD quality views. Everything else in this NVR worked fine so I would still give it 2 stars I didn't expect it to be the best NRV out there.

Very easy to setup and use.
Very easy to setup. User interface was simple and number of options. Very light metal construction for mounting. Connectivity via LAN was plug and play. I chose to install an SSD Hard Drive and liked the fact that it has SMART Diagnostics as an option. Installing a 2.5 SSD will only allow you to use a single screw which should be fine if your aren't going to be moving it every 10 minutes. The holes are for a 3.5 inch HDD.
