U can barely hear it, looks nice, taste depends on the type of water u use.

The media could not be loaded.  This is our very first ice maker purchase. We are a family of 5 and we don't have enough refrigerator space for sodas due to fruits, vegetable, and other food that needs to be stored in the refrigerator so we keep most of our sodas in the pantry then put just 1 or 2 in the freezer for 10 to 15 minutes before drinking. Well, kids got tired of waiting after putting it in the freezer and we got tired of soda can bursting in the freezer because they would sometimes forget to remove it.We don't use the built-in ice maker in our refrigerator because we live in upstate New York where water is from underground and is very hard water so it has high mineral content. Therefore, we don't drink the tap water and don't want to use the ice maker connected to the water line. We do have ice tray but kids get lazy and forget to fill it with water, not to mention we often run out of space to even put ice tray in the freezer. We thought it was a time to invest in ice maker to solve all our problems so after doing some research, we went with safe option by picking this one because we had amazing experience with this brand for our pots and pans that we purchased before and love, and we are glad we got this one.FIRST IMPRESSION:The packaging was impeccable. It was delivered on non-retail cardboard box, which was very thick but I was surprised to see another retail packaging box inside the outer box. The ice maker was surrounded with a fitted foams inside the retail box securely and all the accessories such as ice basket, scooper and hoses were taped inside so they don't move around during shipping and handling. The user manual was very easy to understand as well and the unit was heavy and felt solid. I only wish that it had a grab handles on the sides or on top so it's easier to transport from one place to another, which will be handy during the summer when having outdoor grill or picnic in the backyard but this is not a deal breaker.CLEAN CYCLE:First of all, make sure to use the clean cycle 3 times as instructed in the user manual. Just pour some water inside then press and hold the clean button for few seconds. Each cycle is about 8 minutes and you have to remove the water before doing another cycle. There's a drainage hoses on the back and while the water does not come up all the way to the top, the water will spill over the hose if you remove the hose stopper but I realized that the hose stopper can be also removed from the unit so you can remove it from the sink! Very clever design.ICE ICE BABY:Now, let's talk about making ice. It comes with a hose that you can hook it up on the back to connect to a water source but we have hard water in the house so we won't use that option. Instead, we open the unit door and pour the purchased spring water inside up to the max indicator line shown on the bottom of the unit, then press the On/Off button. I would place the ice scooper standing on the side so that it doesn't get buried under the ice.The unit is relatively quiet and it started to make ice around 15 minutes and by 20 to 30 minutes, it had already made enough ice nuggets for a full glass of drink. I love that it has a see-through window on top so I can see how much ice is there without opening the glass door.It will indicate if the water is empty or if ice is full. When the water is empty, simply pour more water on top or side of the ice basket. Very simple to use it.I love the size and taste of the nugget ice this makes. It's chewable and tasty. I also appreciate the ice scooper that it comes with and I feel like I work at a restaurant when scooping these ice nuggets from the unit to pour into the glass. It's very satisfying and kids love it. I highly recommend this unit if you are on the market for ice maker and these are so much better than bullet ice maker and definitely better than ice cubes, and you won't be disappointed with this brand. Easily 10 out of 5 stars!

I am an ice snob, and this ice machine was perfect. It made pellet ice that I am addicted to. It makes it relatively quickly - easily enough to handle the needs of a family of four.I followed the instructions, cleaned as expected, ran only filtered water through it, yet it has stopped working in less than a year. It is an expensive purchase for such a short operating window. I SHOULD have paid for the extended warrantee - but was unaware of the shortcomings of this little unit.I am only writing this review so that others who purchase this machine will not forget to add the extended warrantee, guaranteeing that it will work beyond 12 months.UPDATE: I went through the Amazon channel to contact the seller who was very helpful. After sending them video of the issues the rectified the problem. I am extrememly happy to have this unit back in operation as it is still the perfect ice maker, generating fantastic ice!

Just get it!! I got it on a lightning deal, so saved some money. BUT now that I have it, if it ever stopped working I'd pay full price to get another.. Yes I like it that much. It produces the good Sonic/ Chick-fil-A ice!!!! I have ice in all of my drinks now. It doesn't really store the ice, but it does. It's almost like a cooler, once it starts melting or the lid is opened it will start making more ice! Definitely better than expected as far as always having ice available

I am loving my new ice maker so far. I have purchased one of the other brand ice makers and that only lasted 1year. I had a hard time with it. I love this ice maker. I love that it also comes with a manufacturer 1 year warranty as long as you register within 7days of purchase. I will submit an update once I come across any issue.

Set up was easy. Ice came fairly quickly and it was amazing. We loved the chunky nuggets! The machine was quiet until we’d had it for about 6 months. It’s now horribly noisy and the light that indicates the need to refill the water reservoir comes on a lot, even when the water reservoir is full. When this light is on, ice is not being made. Lifting the ice basket, putting it back into place and then closing the lid works but we have to do this often. I have reached out to the company and have been corresponding with them but it seems to be going nowhere. We’ve spent a significant amount of money on a machine that was good for a matter of months. We are still getting ice but it does not work the way it should and as I mentioned, it’s terribly loud, making a grinding sound and at other times it sounds like it’s chirping. I’d look for another brand that might last longer and perhaps better customer service.

This is an amazing ice maker. My wife loves it !! It’s great for kid and adult drinks! And you can connect it to a water supply so you never have to fill it. Great all around product!!

This ice machine is the best I have owned . It backs nice small pieces of ice that last quit long. the amount of ice it makes each time is a good amount for to people.
