You get a solid product.
This ladder is as advertised stainless steel. It is very sturdy. It can be extended and retracted easily and is very compact when closed so you can store it just about anywhere. The only possible negative is that it has more weight than an equivalent aluminum ladder. It is not uncomfortably heavy but if I were a contractor using it every day I would probably get an aluminum model. Since I do not use it all the time I opted for stainless steel that is stronger than aluminum.

Very compact
Great little telescoping ladder. You have to be careful about how much lean you have when using. The more you lean it, the more wobbly it feels and the less weight you can put on it. I carried a bucket of water up to my roof and had a bit too much lean, so it felt a little unsteady. I weigh 200 lbs and it’s rated for 300 lbs, I think. Very compact and fits into my garage nicely.

Flimsy and feels unsafe
The ladder arrived as described. The hooks keep coming loose and can get lost in transport. Upon extending the ladder, the unsafe feeling is horrifying. I will never again purchase or recommend this item. It is unsafe for use, a complete and total SAFETY HAZARD. Today, when I tried to use it, I stepped on the first step and the step came loose, as I was on step number 5, it all of a sudden buckled on me and I fell off the ladder and onto the ground. Luckily for me that my wife was present, as was my customer, who tended to me immediately and gave me some aspirin for the pain. OSHA better look into the compliance of this ladder as it is the unsafest ladder I have been on my entire life. I am career roofer, so I climb ladders all day. I want my refund immediately

Goods and bads
This ladder has properties that make it potentially more dangerous than a regular aluminum ladder, if the user doesn't take extra precautions. The ladder is more prone to twisting than a regular one. Also, the top rung is smooth and there are no projecting side rails. I tried it on a tree and it twisted and tried to slide off the tree trunk. Fortunately, I was being very cautious, so no disaster occurred.Definitely, deploy the top hooks that come with the ladder. They will help (but not guarantee) the stability on a tree trunk. The hooks have their own problem in this regard. They are held in place by a nut and flat washer, so they can turn when you don't want them to. I'm thinking of swapping out the flat washer for a toothy washer but haven't tried it yet. The manufacturer may want to offer some feedback on this idea. I think the hooks are intended to hang onto something substantial, like a roof parapet or even a gutter. Aside from the fact that they can swivel when you don't want them to, they seem very strong.I think it would be a good idea to tie the ladder off to the trunk, if you are using it to climb a tree.On the good side, it telescopes into a small package, doesn't take up a lot of space, and is easy to carry around (even for an old coot like me). It worked very well for me in a "normal" roof access job, where it had no opportunity to twist.Do pay attention to the safety warnings included with the ladder. Be sure not to have any fingers you want to use again in between the rungs when you are collapsing it. It seems to like slamming back down when you hit the release buttons. At first, this worried me because I tend to take good care of my tools; but this ladder seems to be designed for this kind of closing.

Expandable Ladder
Great ladder. Very compact. Works smooth. A little heavy but it is steady. Good for use on a camper.
