Great - with one caveat. I understand that some reviewers have had annoying failures with this device. Mine stopped working for no apparent reason so I dismantled it (just 2 screws). Actually quite well put together except that the plastic float inside moves up and down freely on side indents. The float is very light, so if it settles not quite vertical, it can stick either open or closed. I put candle wax on mine and so far has been perfect. A tiny bit of lube or graphite might also work.

Works well and does its job ! What more can I say

This is a great little float valve. Works very well just one problem there is no nut on the thread of the pipe, that allows the water through, and secures the float to the wall of a tank So it is not easy to attach and seal the float.

I haven't installed it yet but checked it's working. I don't know how long life it is, hop will service for long time.

Got a small leak on my pond still after several attempts to repair it. Bought this to top up as I kept forgetting to turn the tap off. Never looked back

I was able to mount it through a plank of wood and fix a garden hose connector to it. Now I can fill my container to the required level unattended. Perfect!

Bought this for 2 reasons:A) Didn’t have to keep checking when to turn off water when topping up pond after cleaning filters. Always used to be too late and over fullB) in case the pond level dropped when I wasn’t home due to leaks.a) works brilliantly and has been faultlessb) thank God not proven but I have 100% confidence it would help top up depending on size hole or issue causing water level to dropAll in all very very happy with purchase after having installed for some time
