Amazing software built in, which allows customization of how calls are handled.
This phone model allows total control over how calls are handled, unlike my old Panasonic phone. There is a leaning curve involved to set up the Call Block features, but once programmed in this phoneperforms amazingly well. No more unwanted ring-a-dings at all!5 stars to the AT&T software development team.1 negative is the sound quality of the desk set. It should be much better. The handsets are OK.

Does everything a landline phone should do. Happy with this purchase.
Love the block call feature. Sound quality is good. Had about 6 months. So, can't really rate the batter life, but it seems good. Have nothing bad to say. Perfect for a landline. Have set up my contacts in the directory and like that. The answering machine does it's job and is very easy to understand. When calls come in it announces who the call is from even when it is not a recognized number, it will talk and give the number of the caller.

Well made; works fine; more features than needed. Still, might buy again if this set were damaged.
Overall, love the call screening! Not sure we will bother to set up to use our cell phone numbers with this, as we could also do, but the option is there. The base station equipment is solid and easy to pre-charge and then put into place, along with the two extra handsets. It takes awhile to go through all the setup, and the instructions do cover almost every situation. Thank goodness the software has some appropriate prompts and suggestion which does make things a bit easier. If you've not set up a screening phone set before, you'll want to set aside an afternoon to set this one up.Basically, we wanted the caller screening and control to approved/block callers. The extra features on the phone, for using it to call or receive calls as up to two cell phones, in addition to the land line, is overkill. That is the main reason for the missing 5th star, although I think needing much of an afternoon is longer than you should need for setup, that is what we needed.

Degrees of volume should be improved.
The reason for the rating of three stars is because the volume at its highest point is not very high.

This was for my elderly mother. Being able to program six (6) rings was very helpful for her to answer before sent to voicemail…..

Does not auto-connect with iphone XS after initial pairing
I really wanted to like this phone as it looks neat the call blocker feature really is great. Unfortunately, I can't overlook two critical flaws:1. When you leave the area with your cell phone and come back later to within range of the cordless phone, it WILL NOT automatically reconnect to the iphone XS like most other systems work. You actually have to click the "connect" button that shows up on the screen (which is bizarre because that shows the cordless phone is aware the cell phone is back within range by lighting up the CONNECT option). That is really dumb and is not the way my previous AT&T cordless phone worked when connecting to cellphones.2. The audio is HORRIBLE. The problem is the handsets are built very cheaply and when sound comes out of the speaker it vibrates through the handset to the microphone so the person on the other end always hears an echo. Likewise, there was a lot of static that I heard as well. Once again, my previous AT&T system from 2014 did not do this. Of course the handsets were built a lot sturdier in that system and weren't so light.
