Fun! Easy to Fly! Great Customer Service!
Update to 1st review:I have now had my Funtech 3 airplane for 5 months. I still love it, fly it almost every weekend! I had a minor problem with my plane last week and it was immediately resolved! Funtech suggested they send me a replacement plane, I said OK! I will be flying again this weekend. These planes come with a one year warranty and Funtech honors their warranty. Buy one today; you will really have fun with it!January 2019 Review: I am over 60 yrs old and I have had so much fun with my Funtech 3 that I feel like a young teen again! I took the plane out of the box, charged the battery and flew the plane like an expert in minutes. I tried flying mode.l airplanes as a teen, was never successful... I broke them them w/in minutes. Anybody can fly this plane right out of the box! Today was my 3rd outing and I set the controls on Intermediate and I did three loop de loops in a row. We were blown away. First outing one of the wheels came off the landing gear and I wrote the company and they immediately sent two replacement landing gears and a couple of spare propellers. BTW: With no landing gear I just hand launched the plane; it was easy and flew beautifully. I have had some very expensive toys in my life, can't remember any of them being so much fun! I will probably be buying 3 - 4 of these planes and giving them to my nieces and nephews.

Wonderful
This plane is just awesome. As a kid I got to watch my father build large model aircraft. Very very occasionally I got to touch the controls, briefly before I got to do anything. Flying model aircraft is hard. I know that from personal experience. Also the smaller the plane the harder it typically is.So when they little fella arrive, I was really concerned it would be impossible to fly, particularly in any kind of wind.I’m delighted to say none of this is true with this model. The multi axis gyro makes this super simply to fly.Surprisingly powerful (I’m old and still getting used to powerful battery powered things)Robust because it’s so light. Step on it and it’s crushed. Let it fall out the sky onto grass and it will be fine.My four year old loves it too.

Beware Prime Members your return window is only 30 days.
Piece of junk. I missed the return window by a few days when this fell apart. Not at all durable. Wheels fell off and propeller broke. What a waste of money. Shame on Amazon for selling expensive junk like this without appropriate return window. I learned my lesson, however, and won't be duped again into getting stuck with inferior merchandise. List me as a dissatisfied Amazon Prime customer.

Great trainer/starter aircraft
Over all good starter aircraft. Not to hard to assemble and get into the air. Gyro is a little annoying when getting it ready. Would point anyone who would like to learn RC planes to start with this on.

Much more durabe than it would appear
Purchased for 10 year old boy who has never flown RC planes. As you might imagine - quite a few crashes (into grass). The plane is made of Styrofoam (and seemingly weighs nothing), and I was pretty sure it would just break apart, but I was wrong - it handled all sorts of crashes. (Not sure how it would hold up crashing into concrete - I'd rather not find out). The company was extremely responsive to an issue we had - the landing wheels fell out of the plane mid flight, and were lost forever. (Ironically, belly landings seemed to go a little better than the wheeled landings - usually the wheels would just catch in the grass and the plane would lurch forward). I wrote the company, and they sent out a replacement front wheel assembly in just a few days - great service!A few tips:1 - Hand launching (throwing) the plane seems to work well. The wheels don't roll well in grass.2 - We found the stabilizing gyroscopes to be more of a nuisance than a help - there is constant adjustment of the rudder and elevators in an attempt to 'stabilize' the plane. More often it created sudden jerks that you have to compensate against. Fortunately this 'feature' is easily disabled on the remote.3 - When landing, we found it easiest to turn off the propeller and just coast in to the groundAll in all a great starter plane - would definitely recommendNB - this is a 3 channel controller - throttle, rudder (acts as ailerons to steer the plane in the air), and elevators

Fun at first!
The plane flies surprisingly good however, it does not hold up very good. Already unfit to fly after a few sessions. The wheels starting falling off early on and now the motor will not turn fast enough to enable flight.

Gyro is a hero
This plane is so much fun! A great training plane, the 6-axis gyro makes it super easy to fly or learn to fly. Once you turn on the gyro, the plane practically flies itself. The gyro has 3 settings: off, partially on, and fully on. After a few days of training, I felt comfortable turning the gyro to the medium setting and doing a bit of acrobatics. This plane will do loops, precision dive bombs, and it has enough power to hover. It came with one battery and three propellers in the box. The plane is styrofoam, so it is lightweight; because of the low mass, crashes are usually not problematic. In fact, it is sometimes possible to recover from a midair collision (with a pole or tree) and continue flying because the plane just bounces off the object and keeps on gliding.Super fun trainer plane, I highly recommend!
