Worked exactly like the originals
Have a 15 year old Sears garage automatic garage door opener. One sensor failed. There were so many replacement sensors on the market from the exotic to the poorest. Took a chance on these which were well rated and cost efficient. Installed them and , voila, the door works perfectly again.

Great value drop-in replacement.
Assuming these continue to work, these are a perfect replacement for a failed sensor. I actually like that these only come with a short bit of connection wire and that you have to use a separate wire to make the run to the garage door opener. I had to replace an existing sensor not because the sensor was bad, but because the wire had gotten brittle and was making intermittent connection, so I was going to have to get new wire anyway.2 of my sensors are in a place where they can get wet, so if one does fail because it gets too wet I won't have to rerun the wire again. The sensors come with simple clear instructions and little connectors so safely "splice" the pigtail with whatever wire you use to run to the opener. They fit perfectly in the brackets I already had.
