I was somewhat hesitant about these, the original were spring steel but had cracked and broke after some years of use. I used the old spring as a template to mark the holes, then drilled and mounted them. I used a 5/16 (8mm) drill bit to match the bolts but the material kind of fuzzes when drilling and the holes were a little tight. Either a slightly larger drill bit or a little wallowing of the original bit would have helped. Mounted them on the chairs that need them and gently sat down in them to try them out. Im a hefty guy at 285 and they had no problem holding my weight while rocking. It will remain to be seen how long they last but they work well and are easy and cheap enough to replace.

This product is fantastic! Unfortunately, I only found it, after I had already thrown away two of my 26 year old chairs that had cracked fibreglass as I was unaware this part was available. Also makes me feel good to know that they’re still using the same set up as that long ago. Easy enough to drill and replace .

I was going to replace my entire patio set because one plate broke could not find at hardware store took picture of old one and found on Amazon. It was easy to replace and saved myself lots of money

Products fit, like that you can drill your own holes to align the bolts with the chair base (make sure you wear gloves and a mask when drilling holes -product has fiberglass in it). We used the old springs, as well as the new springs for better support. The new springs gave us the feeling that you might tip over in the chair when you leaned back but they would have worked just by themselves. We just doubled up, using the old springs with the new and have a sturdier chair for leaning back in the chairs. Definitely would buy this product again when needed!

Our rockers were so bad you would nearly hit your head on the ground as they had zero tension left. We were about to toss them and found these replacements. Did not even realize the springs were fiberglass! They are as good as new. Can get several more seasons out of them now.My only warning, do NOT use a hand drill. Only use a drill press or the fiberglass will shred and crack into a mess. Bits also catch them and will hurt you. Drill press made the job smooth as butter.

I used this to replace broken ones on my patio swivel rockers. My chairs are just like new again.

These replacements are a life saver and will save you from throwing away your rocker furniture. The plates require drilling holes to match your old plates, but it’s not difficult to drill. Wear some gloves or you will likely get fiberglass splinters from working with these.My rocker now works like it used to! Highly recommended.

These really did restore our twenty year old patio chairs. For just a few dollars they are safe and stable once again

We have a high quality patio set that is old. It’s comfortable, looks good but a spring was getting soft then let go completely. These fixed it up good as new. Years more life in our furniture.
