Works
I bought the product so I knew when my cat was at the back door, and so far it has worked brilliantly. I placed it on the floor to the side of my door. The alarm sound is like a ding dong and the high is very loud but the low is ideal. It also has an LED that flashes. I also bought the adapter that was offered as I don't want to be replacing batteries regularly and it works great. Impressed at the price but with adapter and batteries it ends up not so cheap. But overall I am very happy with it and would recommend it. The only thing I have marked it down for is the battery compartment on the sensor that sits outside has no screws or seal so I had to sort that out, which I thought was very strange to be missing but note a couple of reviews have mentioned it too.

NOT A GOOD PRODUCT
I bought it for my business as the previous one stopped working after three years. I only had this alarm for couple of months now but already struggling as sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. NOT HAPPY AT ALL. It does not fulfil the purpose and customers are waiting in the shop and the alarm does not ring. And sometimes it starts ringing when there is no one in the shop. I have sent a message to the seller couple of weeks ago to let them know that the product wasn't great and that I was going to leave a "review" in the near future.

Keep the sensor inside the plastic packaging bag and fit into a recess to provide waterproofing.
I bought this to work as an outdoor motion sensor security feature for the patio area of my back garden. I've fitted the motion sensor into a recess in my outdoor trellis and have left it inside the plastic bag that came as part of the packaging. I've found that this works well to provide waterproofing in bad weather. I keep the alarm upstairs in my house set to the lowest volume setting, switching it on when needed. This works great as an extra security feature in addition to/instead of a security camera. It's also possible to position the sensor so it avoids small animal movement on the ground, but picks up human movement (by positioning it at the right height). So, overall I am very pleased.

It works but you will have to rain proof the sensor.
It doesn't come with batteries so you will need to buy 3 C sized cells for the receiver and a PP3 9 Volt battery for the transmitter. You will also need some Gaffer tape or similar to block the holes in the back and base of the sensor. You might also get, as I did, some Velcro tape to fit the sensor. Why? Because once you seal the sensor you can't hook it onto the screw provided. If you try mounting it on the screw provided it won't be water tight. I could have used double sided foam tape but it would be a pain to clean up the mounting each time the battery needed changing. I took the further measure of fitting a waterproof box to the wall and putting the sensor inside, making it harder for an intruder to dislodge it and more immune to rain. The transmitter and receiver transmissions are not coded so if you are very unlucky the receiver might be triggered by transmissions from a neighbour or other kit you may have on the same frequency. It is possible to reduce the PIR beamwidth to some extent by sticking black electrician's tape over the appropriate area of the PIR window. I glued a lenth of tube on the waterproof box in front of the sensor to limit the beamwidth and false alarm rate. But I still got quite a high false alarm rate. There is no sensitivity adjustment but it is possible to reduce the sensitivity by putting a piece of clear polythene sheet from a plastic bag over the PIR window. The receiver has a 3 position switch enabling the selection of the high volume setting, low volume and off. There are 3 quite bright red LEDs on the front which light up when triggered. The sounder makes an "ee-aw, ee aw, ee-aw" type sound a bit like an ambulance. Mine was a bit different to the picture. Mine has a rectangular cut out on the back for it to fit onto a wall bracket, not supplied. The lack of bracket was not a problem because I had decided to seal all the holes in the case anyway. I had previously bought a similar unit made by "Digital Doorbell" but the two AA cells in the receiver only lasted a month at a time, which is why I bought this model to replace it. The transmitter battery lasts about 5 months. The receiver battery has lasted over a year. It is a pity they don't specify the expected battery life. There is no low battery warning so it just stops working. You don't realise that the battery is dead until you notice that the alarm hasn't been working for a while. I fitted my new sensor behind a gate post so anyone passing the gate, whether it is open or closed, will trigger the alerter, intruders probably won't see it until it is too late, it's a little bit sheltered there, and I don't expect false alarms from passers by beyond the gate. I get quite a lot of false alarms though. At £9.99 it is basic (not rain proof, not coded, not adjustable) but good value for money. Some alternatives I looked at cost over £100. I get false alarms from the neighbours' cats, birds and the combination of the sun shining on the gate when it's windy and the gate wobbles. This would occur will all PIR systems though. After a while I got fed up with the high false alarm rate and not knowing when it had stopped working due to dead batteries so I removed it. I bought a light beam sensor in order to make up my own design but the claimed sensor range of 4m turned out to be 2m.

Great unit
First one didn’t work, an email to the seller sorted that out. The replacement arrived quickly. Very easy to set up, just put in the batteries. The receiver has two volume settings, I use mine in my workshop and it can be easily heard over the noise of the machinery. Very happy, would definitely buy again and recommend

Does the job.
"4VWIN Home Security Wireless Driveway Alarm" The unit has good detection and also a good range. I use this inside so I can't comment on the weatherproofing of the unit. It is loud, I put some tape over the buzzer even at the low setting. The battery life seems good but remember that transmitter will use us the batteries quicker than the receiver. A good product.

Dålig räckvidd.
Räckvidden skrämmande låg, klarar 5 - 6 meter med fri sikt. Har mottagaren ovanför garagedörren, och får larm om jag ställer sensorn ca en billängd utanför dörren.
