A useful resource to get your grade 4 child practicing reading and checking comprehension. It needs the support of an adult to complete the book, the child reads the passages, the adult then times the read and highlights unknown words, the child re-reads it's timed again, then the child answers some generic questions about character, setting and summary, the child would need some guidance on how to complete this and the time of an adult to check and discuss answers etc.

As an ESL teacher, I'm always looking for good new recourses I can use with kids. This is for sure one I'm going to hand onto. It's basically a mini lesson in a book sized package.

I really like the consistency of this book for 4th graders. It has 30 unique, short stories and then a page of comprehension questions for each story. This would make a great summer reading project to keep your child reading through the school break. Recommend!

The thirty stories included in this workbook are simple and easy to read. I think it is a good book for children to increase reading fluency. The book also contains comprehension questions and good space for children to write summaries. I have received an advance review copy of the book and giving my review voluntarily.

This is a wonderful resource for improving reading for kiddos! I love that there is 'time 1' and 'time 2' feature which allows you track progress over time.
