Performs well, useful as a secondary monitor.
I bought this for my son's gaming setup. This is his secondary monitor he uses for social media, apps, etc. He keeps it in the vertical portrait position and absolutely loves it. We kept the box, making it easy to transport between college and when he comes home for the winter and summer breaks. He said a second monitor makes multi-tasking so much easier. After 2 years I asked him if he needed an upgrade. He said absolutely not. The monitor is still performing really well and he has had no issues.

Would definitely recommend these
These are awesome! There are so many monitor options, after doing a lot of research, I went with these and I am glad I did. They are affordable, nicely sized, and great quality. I have bought 3 of them for when I work from home!

Be patient; it needs time.
The monitor has a swivel mount and can be deployed anywhere from 0 to 90 degrees; it displays in portrait mode once windows 10 was told to send it that way.The stand height is fully adjustable. My unit came pre-selected for HDMI, but it did have to be turned on with the manual control panel on the lower right back corner to activate, which is slow to respond. The screen is not sealed at the edges; do not use liquid/spray/solvent cleaners. The user guide states that this monitor must not be exposed to sunlight.

A good monitor for a programmer
This review is for the Acer CB272U Ebmiiprx 27" WQHD 2560 x 1440I placed this next to a 2013 Acer B276HUL 27" WQHD (2560 x 1440). Youcan still buy them on Amazon for $380. Can't imagine why with this wayless than 1/2 the price. The B276HUL also has a 2 port USB 3.0 hub, which I never used as the connectors are in an awkward place.I mounted both monitors on 100mm VESA mounts, Sidce-by-side. So I do notuse the base. I also do not use the speakers as I use a soundbar foraudio.Side by side the CB272U seems a tad sharper. Similar colors by default, but the CB272U has a lot of color adjustments. It is 2 pounds lighter, andhas the narrow (1/8" ?) bezel. But there is an additional 1/4" black bandaround the LCD. Compared to the older ones 3/4" bezel. The narrowerbezel is nicer for side by side monitors. The response time is 1ms vs 6msbut I don't notice that when typing. But the CB272U does have some downsides. Instead of having the buttonson the font, they are on the back. A PITA to get to when next to anothermonitor. When you do manage to get to the menu, the menu text is lowcontrast and small. I bought a big monitor so I can see things! Then youhave to navigate with a little joy button on the back. Not intuitive atall, but OK after a while. There is a standard on/off switch on the back which is hard to reachfrom the front. And then you have to press a soft power button on the back, also hard to reach from the front. So far, for my needs, and the price, I'm happy. But one star off for the poor switch andbutton ergonomics.

Perfect monitor for what I needed
I recently bought a 27" AIO computer. I use a dual monitor setup, but all my extra monitors were 24". I know you can do it, but it just didn't look right to me to have a 27" monitor paired with a 24" monitor, so I was on the lookout for a relatively inexpensive 27" monitor.Started out with an LG monitor at about the same price point. The problem was that the screen didn't line up with my AIO monitor. About 2 inches difference in the height from the bottom of the screen to the desk. Not a huge deal, but again, it just didn't look right to me, so then I was on the lookout for a 27" monitor with an adjustable height stand. This worked out perfect. I can adjust the height so the monitor lines up perfectly with my AIO monitor. Looks great. Screen quality is very good. Bright (adjustable) and crisp. Perfect for what I do (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, e-mail, videos and web surfing).Moving up from 24" to 27" screens doesn't seem like a big deal, but it really is. Makes a huge difference.100mhz refresh rate is a nice little bonus, since most of the monitors at this price point have 60 or 75. Not a huge difference, but higher is better. There are several reviews about receiving units that wouldn't power up (DOA). I thought I had one too, but I didn't. The problem is that turning the monitor on is very unintuitive. There is a rocker switch that says power, so you would think that is how you turn on the monitor. It isn't. You have to turn the power on with the rocker switch, then you have to press another small, nearly hidden button to turn the monitor on. I was literally about to pack up the monitor and return it until I figured this out. I suspect that many of those who thought their monitor was DOA didn't realize it was a 2-step process to turn it on. Very confusing.Overall, this is a good monitor at a budget price point. I recommend.

Terrible warranty service
6 months in and it developed an area of dead pixels. Acer's warranty service expects that you have kept the packaging just in case you have to send it in for warranty service. That's completely unreasonable in a one-bedroom apartment. They don't cover packaging and won't schedule a pickup. And without a car, I can't traipse all around a city with terrible public transportation looking for a box for this thing.I expected better from a color-calibrated monitor for creatives. I'll never purchase another Acer monitor.
