Loved the packaging and the item! The eWonLife Mic Arm is a heavy-duty, well-crafted piece that certainly impressed me. The 5/8 thread and overall design are top-notch.Unfortunately, I had to part with mine because the desk I bought it for is a hefty 6 inches thick, and the arm attachment didn't allow me to open it any further than 3 inches. It's a fantastic product, but be sure to measure your desk thickness before purchasing.Even though it didn't work out for me, I can vouch for the quality of the eWonLife Mic Arm. If it fits your desk specs, it's definitely a smart buy. I'm genuinely satisfied with the product and the overall experience.

Overall 5 stars, it does what I needed it to do. That being said I have a hard time getting it to support a blue yeti usb microphone + a pop screen filter. I have to tighten the the connection to the point that I feel like it is about to break. The longer part of the arm seems to support the weight fine. Once I do have it set up, I just swivel it from the base front and back away from my face when I'm not using it. Again, overall it does what I need at a good price so 5 stars.

Definitely, the best feature of this Mic Boom is the tall stand. I only have one good option in my setup and that is to have the arm reach over my vertically positioned PS5 and gaming monitor. It does just and the microphone is mounted just where I want it. At first, I only used it for a lightweight Fifine USB Mic, but I recently tested a Zoom XLR Mic that is much heavier (all metal), and the arm held it just fine.

I'm using this for an AT2035 with a shock mount and a gooseneck pop filter. It holds the weight of all that without any trouble. I had to really crank down the last joint (to the point of slight deformity) in order to get it to hold steady, though. But it's staying tight and overall, the stand is great.Using the taller extension tube, I can use the mic for meetings when I'm seated or stand up to record voice overs, etc. with ease. I don't even need to tighten the other (lower) joint as the springs hold it in place where ever I put it by themselves. Also, the springs don't make any noise when adjusting the position, so you can easily move it around while the mic is live.The clamp holds well on my desk and I like how it tightens from the bottom so you can place that edge of the desk against a wall if you want. It also comes with more than enough velcro cable wraps to tidy things up.I think it's a great value for the price and highly recommend it for any home studio.

First things first, the quality of the arm and clamp is great. Both are solid chunks of metal capable of holding up a Shure SM7B. However, after about a year of daily use, the base at the bottom of the arm broke.After closely analyzing this, I noticed it's a small star-shaped piece of plastic holding this stand to your desk. This critical weak point failed while I was in the middle of a stream, adjusting my mic.I advise the maker of this microphone mount to redo the base with a sturdier material OR put more material between the base and the clamp. The base of this stand WILL eventually fail on anybody using a Shure SM7B or mic of equivalent weight, especially if they move their mic around daily. (Just up and out of the way and back down in front of my face for my streams.)The rest of the unit is great! But I expect a stand with this price to last longer. Especially when it's listed as "Heavy Duty." I'll likely keep the stand and make my own base or find a new base mount

I use one of those curved acoustic pads behind my mic, but my desk-mounted boom wasn't quite long enough to get up over the top and still allow me to place the mic exactly where I wanted it. I thought the extension offered by this boom mic might be just what I needed.I was right. The extension worked perfectly, but not with the boom that came with it. This is advertised as an "overhead mic boom stand," but the boom itself is just 14 inches on a side. Not much is gained if you provide an extension, but with a very short boom. Thankfully, it worked with my existing boom arm, which is 18 inches on a side. (The provided boom is on the desk in the photo.)So why did I still give it 5 stars? Because that was just my specific application. The extension and desk mount are very well made (much better than what I had), as is the boom arm (which I will be using at my office). It might be perfect for your needs, just be sure to take careful measurements before ordering, to be sure the eight inch extension plus the 14" arm will be sufficient.Note to seller: You provide a 2" extension and an 8" extension, to provide different options for the buyer. Why not thread the 2" extension on both sides so they can be joined, to provide an even longer extension? The end cap could cover the threads of the 2" extension, for use by itself.

Good stand, and doesnt take up much space. Blue yeti is a bit too heavy for it to stay still but it still works.

This mic mount is a bit looser than I'd like. No matter how much I tighten the joints, they seem to be a bit more lax than I want. It still works though and hasn't broken yet.

so far very happy with this mic stand. seems very strong and it comes with velcro straps to tie down my xlr cable.

This Mic Arm holds my Blue Snowball iCE perfectly, is very adjustable and clamps well to the desk. I would highly recommend!
