My husband is studying for a certification and he really loves this book. It is helping him retain all of this info much more easily. It's a simple process and once you use it, you'll be very pleased. There's also a youtube video of this guy explaining what is in the book as well, a nice companion to this book.

As a high school counselor and a mom of three (aged elementary through high school), I found this book provided helpful techniques of how to study (broken down into "rules") so that you are actually learning the material and not just passing a test. The techniques outlined are applicable to my own kids as well as my students. It's a quick read, and the author provides meaningful examples of the "rules". Great information for all ages, all in one concise book. Highly recommend!

This is a "read it if you got it" kind of book, meaning that if you can get a free copy through kindle unlimited or otherwise, it's worth a quick skim. But, there is not enough helpful material in this sparsely-filled, cliff notes of a book to warrant paying for it; just a bunch of generalities and common sense advice that you have already heard.Also found the book lacking in details often - for example the explanation of the SQ4R reading method was very sparse and you will almost certainly have to look it up elsewhere to get enough detail to benefit from it.Do look in to Cornell Notes and the SQ4R reading method if you have not already, these topics are more adequately covered elsewhere.
