Great value, not perfection.
While this product sorts (and counts) coins very well, it will not automatically toss aside non supported coins or foreign currency. It will occasionally jam, which is very easy to fix, and requires a bit of watching. It does over all an excellent job, and I am quite pleased with this product. As each tube fills out (the machine goes by count, so if you reset the counter REMEMBER TO EMPTY THE TUBES!!) it is pushed forward. As it fills the 4th of any denomination, it beeps for attention. All in all, a great solution for light to moderate commercial useage.

Reliable
I had one of these that I used daily in my money counting process at the thrift store where I work, and it was reliable, but after two years I was having a problem with the dimes. The other coins went through just fine and tallied in a reliable fashion, but the dimes would get stuck in the chute and often would not fall down into the holder. After a thorough cleaning it still did not stop the dimes from getting stuck.I ordered a replacement here and although it is basically the same machine, the model number has changed. It does, however, perform much better than the older model. It appears that the chute where the coins slide down has been tilted a little more to allow a more reliable "slide" down into the coin tubes. This new model is performing much better for me, so I am happy with it and glad I upgraded.

Works very well but not 100% perfect.
Bought to sort quarters only. Works very well with some jams coming in the form of backing up as the are leaving the machine before going in the rolls. Not too terrible and it happened about 3-4 times while rolling $6xx dollars in quarters. Overall very happy

Great Product
I have been using this product for 3 years. Doesn't jam very much. It detects fake coins great. I would recommend this to people

It seems like everyone that bought this sorter liked it
It seems like everyone that bought this sorter liked it, so I purchased one also. I'm sending it back--when I first plugged it in, turned on the on switch on back, and pushed the start button in the front, nothing happened--not the "ticking" sound that is supposed to start. So, I unscrewed it in the back and took it apart, and then it started ticking. However, it jammed at least six times, and I don't have the patience for it. All of the coins were clean and there were no odd coins--I went thru them prior to putting them in the machine, so I'm sure that wasn't the problem.

It was easy to use
The item jammed the coins you constantly had to restart for the accuracy the dollars amount that you had rolled some would had more or less in the roll.

Solid light to medium duty machine. Don't overload it and pay attention. Once you get the hang of it, you're humming along
I had approximately 200 rolls of pennies, 100 rolls of nickels, 80 rolls of dimes, 60 rolls of quarters that were unsorted. I had to go through them and ensure there weren't any proof silver or rare coins as some of them were quite old. That was the hard part. The easy part was running them through the sorter. As a previous poster mentioned, the coins need to be clean and you cannot dump coins in the hopper until it's full. The machine is designed for light/medium use, it's not a commercial bank sorter. Plus, there is some adjustment as you have to watch the counter of each coin. When I began, I got out of sync and had coins backing up. So, use some TLC. Pay attention to the coin counts as the tubes advance automatically based on the count. Once you get a rhythm going, you can make quick progress.I was just glad I didn't have to stand at the bank for hours or Walmart where I get nicked for a whopping 11%. It was more cost effective and my time was better spent. The picture is day one, just the pennies.

Saves tons of time vs manually sorting and counting
We recently had like $80+ worth of change we sorted, counted, and rolled with this machine. Sorts pretty quick. Not super quiet, but it works good.Note that it does NOT take dollar coins, so if some end up in there accidentally, you'll need to pop it open and get them back out. Easy to do - there's an instruction sheet specifically for clearing jams included with the unit, and it's pretty fast and simple to do.We really like the fact that you can have 4 rolls worth of the same coin at a time as it pauses and advances to the next empty roll when one is full. That's a big time saver too!
