I have been very happy with this spreader. I have had multiple spreaders in the past. Everything from handheld to pull behind. I’ve never had a hand spreader that I felt did a good job. That is, until now. The manual hand spreaders, of course, relied on me to crank, and because of the variation in my crank speed effected how evenly my material was spread. I’m not saying it was horrible but never as good as my push spreader. If I needed to spread on smaller areas it ended up being easier for me to just hand throw the seed rather than bother with the hand spreader. When I saw this spreader, I decided it might be worth a try although I didn’t really hold out much hope. Well, I’m not too proud to say that I was wrong, and I love this thing. The fact that it is battery powered allows for a more consistent and even spray than any other that I have owned. The fact that it’s rechargeable is awesome. I have a lot more control over when and where I’m broadcasting. I’m able to easily select from 6 different speed settings. I also have the ability to select from 8 seed settings so I can be versatile as to what type of seed/gradual that I need to spread. So far, I have spread seed, fertilizer and yard insect repellent using this spreader and I couldn’t be happier. The bin is a nice size although I have had to go refill multiple times due to the size of my yard area but if the bin were any larger it would be too heavy for me to comfortably carry so I’ll say it’s a perfect size. If I’m going to do a great deal of spreading, I’ll use the pull behind or my push spreader but for quick jobs this spreader is so easy to pull out and use that it’s almost fun to use.

The NICHRO Seed Spreader was just what I was looking for distributing grass seed and fertilizer about my yard. The device was lightweight, compared to manual models I have previously used, and I loved the rechargeability, speed and seed settings. The seed bin dispenser appeared to cover the grass consistently and evenly. I’m looking forward to testing this handy device with ice melt in the winter, because that chore is messy and cumbersome for me. I believe the NICHRO spreader will elevate the mess I tend to make with ice melt pellets on my steps, porch, and sidewalk.

This spreader is so much easier to use than most I have tried. I like a handheld style when I am spreading seed on uneven or steep areas that are hard to use the push kind on. This spreader is fast and easy to use when on steep or hilly areas. The charge lasts long enough and it has all the settings that I need for grass and wildflower seeds.

This took spreading seeds/fertilizer to a next level. Previously used a handheld manual sprayer and i could never get the speed of spin correctly. This motorized handheld spreader has been a game changer for our lawn care routine. With 8 seed settings and 6 speed levels it makes spreading whatever you need much easier. The usb rechargeable feature is a huge plus, providing up to 2 hours of use on a single charge. The capacity is decent and spread width of ~16 feet ensures wide and even coverage. This is perfect for year-round use and is easy to handle. Recommend this for anyone looking to add convenience to lawn care.

I have a small yard and really disliked having to store a large spreader in my garage. I purchased a name brand battery powered hand spreader and absolutely loved it. The problem was that the batteries only lasted minutes. I purchased a hand crank version that is much more difficult to use with my arthritis and getting even coverage is impossible. This Nichro version with rechargeable batteries is so much easily and convenient to use. The various settings cover my seeding and fertilizer chores with simple adjustments. One handed operation that holds all the product I use for the entire yard. Seems to spread evenly and quickly. The compact size performed perfectly and is easy to store on my garage shelf without taking up floor space or causing a tripping hazard. Much cheaper than a broadcast spreader and a better option for smaller lawns.

With its six speed settings and eight seed settings, this spreader works for all my seeding and fertilizer spreading needs. Light and easy to use, I have really been enjoying this product. Charges up with the included USB C cable. A full charge lasts far longer than I do at a spreading session. (advertised to last for 2 hours). Large capacity so I don't have to return to the bag as often. Wide coverage at the higher speeds. I really like this spreader and highly recommend it.
