Adequate, good for the price.
I don't thing anyone will be blown away by the tripod, but there is nothing on it that concerns me. For the price? Good tripod. Not carbon fiber lightweight, but still easy to tote. Can't expect carbon fiber at this price range. Of course, there are plenty of compromises to get this thing to be this affordable. Most of the ball head is plastic whereas most others seem to be aluminum, good quality plastic, but plastic still. The only aluminum I can find on this head are the plate, ball and pan lock (the red parts). The pan is not particularly dampened well and makes a scratching sound, but again, the budget. The center column locks are plastic, but not as high quality as the plastics used in the head. Even the center column receiver and leg retention are plastic, but those are the same plastic as used in the head.Anything red on this tripod appears to be milled or extruded aluminum. The legs are aluminum, and they are indexed so they don't spin when you are lengthening them. The leg locks are plastic as well, but back to the cheaper plastic. The main thing I can see is that it appears the lock levers are put into place with press fit pins. If one should fall out one day, repairing would be more complicated than something with a machine screw. Also, the lock tension seems to vary enough that I wonder if some will start slipping over time. I have tripods 30 years old, and when they inevitably start slipping, there are remedies with adjustment screws, etc. I don't see this possibility here.It has a very clever way of folding up to its most compact form so as to avoid taking the center column out. Nice touch!I know that sounds like criticism, but it's not really if you take into account the price. If this were double, triple or more in price, I would look at all of this differently. I'm just trying to point out stuff that may not be obvious from photos. All in all a good option for a compact tripod that won't ruin your day if something should happen to it.

Very Sturdy and Versatile
This tripod is quite versatile. There are many ways to use it, and yet it is still compact, lightweight, and sturdy. I think this works particularly well for DSLR cameras or other larger devices that are easy to aim/position. Using this with a phone is a little more cumbersome. I found that when I loosen the ball joint, it is a bit trickier to finely adjust the aim of a phone because you don't have much to hold. Other tripods have a handle coming off the top that helps you aim the device, and I think that would be helpful for this tripod when using a phone or other small camera. Again, this all depends on what device you have and how you want to use it. I was streaming a volleyball game, and it was challenging and a bit frustrating trying to pan smoothly. All that being said, I still like this tripod a lot.

pleasantly surprised by this tripod
for the typical going rate of tripods that you could consider to be of even half decent quality - this tripod made me somewhat skeptical. but the listing boasts what appears to be a versatile, functional, practical & even going beyond the scope of some tripods that i have invested a considerable amount of money more into than this one. & i have to say that i am pleasantly surprised by the durability, craftsmanship, quality & heavyweight, sturdy, well-built feel of this one.my main go-to & significantly greater investment has long been the leading, household name brand in the photography industry that if you likely know who i am referencing as they have long dominated the market in terms of professional tripods... & this tripod - for a fraction of the investment - offers me more functionality & tools than i have on my other one. the inclusion of the level on the plate is such a crucial , often overlooked tool that really makes a difference in the way & efficiency in how i shoot. it is worth noting that while the other brand DOES offer tripods / plates with levels & things of the like - the investment you will make for the same/similar tools/parts makes this tripod all the more attractive of an option. granted, prices change & so do designs, so this is worth keeping in mind & im speaking more to the value of this tripod than the price itself.the craftsmanship is impressive. i did presume that it may lack in areas such as the sturdiness of the telescopic legs & figured they may feel somewhat loose since that's what i have come to expect from other tripods within the same price-range but was glad to have been incorrect. the legs are sturdy. they lock in place evenly without sliding in on themselves. the locking mechanisms are simple to maneuver yet the clasping feature is concrete.this tripod can be flipped in on itself so that the neck which holds the camera is hovering over the ground & you instead are able to shoot from a lower perspective .the versatility of this tripod is beyond impressive. the included carry bag is great & allows for click stow away & storage & protection.i would absolutely recommend this to anyone in the industry or who otherwise finds themselves needing a tripod. it offers the same premium quality as the major players in the photog market without the price tag.
