Amazing sound
This is a true review, no payments, or bribes. Awesome!!!!! I am the widow of a music connoisseur. Husband has a vintage true 4 channel stereo with awesome sound. Sound is equal to a concert hall. Very complicated for me to use. I wanted a compact stereo which allows me to play music from a USB stick, CD's and doesn't require technical genius to play. I also like having a remote. I had my doubts when I unboxed the small and light weight stereo. But I was in for a pleasant surprise. The sound is great from CD's and MP3s. I expected a tinny sounding stereo when I set it up. To my total surprise it sounds amazing. I hope it lasts because I really love it.

Awesome sound
Awesome sound for this price range, loud and clear, amazing with headphones, I went through three systems before this Aiwa and nothing even came close at this price very small and takes up so little space and no annoying clock off is off, can't say enough good about it

Bose competitor
This is a really nice sounding unit for the price. This retro cd/stereo player is super easy to use. It's just like the systems you would have bought 25 years ago. Excellent sound quality and picks up stations really well. Everything is well though out. The switches are exactly where they are supposed to be. The Bluetooth feature makes this a very versitile music player. It can also play music from USB devices. So, play plugged or unplugged.60w power is good, but you're obviously not going to get the HQ sound you'd get from a 5.2 or 7.2. For what it is it's very nice though. I'd say it's very comparable to the Bose wave in sound, just not as attractive. One downfall for this unit is if you're a CD junkie like me. CD's have amazing sound and I like playing them over bluetooth. This player can only play one CD, before having to go change the CD out. They simply needed to add a CD changer to this unit to get the full playback experience. Otherwise, very nice unit. 4 stars.

Buyer beware
I’ve always had good luck with Aiwa products. I needed to replace my antiquated bookshelf system with something smaller. Size wise, this for the bill perfectly. This had a CD player built in and also has Bluetooth connectivity, so in case I wanted to Bluetooth from my cell phone, I could. It was packaged well and looked good coming out of the box but when I took the receiver out of the plastic, the buttons on the left side were installed upside down. (See picture)I read a previous comment about both buttons being installed upside down. I thought that it was a one off..guess not..normally it wouldn’t bother me but the fact that I spent 150.00 for this, I needed the atheistic to be right.I contacted Amazon support and they are sending a replacement so we’ll see how that plays out.

A nice tabletop audio system with a strange flaw
I have owned several pieces of Aiwa audio equipment over the years, and I find that their quality and sound are usually very good. As far as the sound quality, this system is quite good for its size and price range. I like that it has separate speakers that can be positioned for best stereo effect, and the main unit has good features and options for multiple sound sources. The remote control provides control for all of the functions, as well. That is a good thing, because this particular unit had a very odd flaw. The front panel controls were installed upside down, and reversed in position (see attached pictures)! It is hard to believe that it left the factory this way, but it did. So, as long as you use the remote control, everything is fine. Just don't try to figure out the front panel controls! Hopefully, this is a one-off issue!
