What a fantastic book. The pictures are great and the recipes are illustrated and displayed very well. Each individual recipe is given its own page. The layout is great, title with a brief description, ingredients, step by step process and in small print at the bottom all the nutritional info. Very intuitive and user friendly.The book size too is ideal, a bit smaller than A4 in length and the same width. The thickness of the book is impressive too.Most importantly are the actual recipes, the ingredients for every recipe ensures that each one tastes as good as possible.

Great sauces and ideas to take from this book. Something for every dish you can imagine with variety of ideas . Sauces can completely change a regular dish.

Soft cover but sturdy, good selection of sauces and chutneys etc, have not tried any yet but browsed through and there are several I want to try

Truly the best reference books on sauces, salsas, etc.
The number of times that this recipe book has saved my culinary efforts. You can always find that needed addition... a sauce, a salsa or a chutney to complete or elevate a meal.

A must have reference for any home cook
This is one book I have in my collection of cook books that I go back to again and again. It is a great resource for anyone who enjoys cooking, and is looking for that little bit of information that is hard to find somewhere else.I have hundreds of cookbooks, and this is one place I know I can look when another recipe calls for a certain sauce or condiment, or when I am looking for inspiration to create something new.It is a book from the UK, but I live in Canada and haven't had any problems sourcing any of the ingredients called for.

A wonderful collection of recipes
Aside from the standard collection of sauces, there are many many others to draw inspiration from. From custom sauces to fruit cheeses and jams and chutneys. Some reviewers state this is a British inspired cookbook and therefore, difficult to find certain ingredients. However, Google for substitutions and you can get plenty of value from this book. My opinion though is there are less recipes here with those types of ingredients than ones without. I only wish it came in Kindle version.

This is a wonderful book. I gave it as a gift to my brother-in-law who is a chef. He was very impressed and says he will incorporate a lot of the ideas that are found in the book into his kitchen. I then had to go back shopping and get myself a copy.
