This battery works like a charm for the PlayStation Gold headset. Depending on which one you have, it can be a chore to install. On the old version with the blue padding on the underside, you have to remove the three screws and unplug the wire to the speaker to get to the battery, but this one is thicker than the existing one so you’ll need to remove some plastic bracing to get it to fit. Use a dreamer for a clean job but wire cutters or pliers can also break off the plastic. 10 minute job once you know what to do. On the newer 2018 version that is all black, I was able to drop it in albeit it was tight. The speaker didn’t fit exactly snug but was able to tighten down the screws and close up the speaker and get the ear foam back on and you can’t tell anything was done. Bit of advice on the newer ones, there is a sticker hiding the screws. If you carefully pull it up you can put it back in place and it’ll look like it hasn’t been disturbed. Great battery life, at least 3 times longer than the original. Most of the time after a solid day of playing I don’t even drop one bar on the battery life.

Yes, you do have to modify the battery compartment inside of your headphones. If you are a modder with even a mini rechargable rotary tool, it's a very easy fix, and so rewarding! Headphones work fantastic, and the charge lasts forever! Very excited about this!

This battery works fine, but it is not for the PlayStation headset. It's a controller batter, it's thicker than the one in the headset. It makes reassembly a bit difficult but I pulled it off. Just know this is really for a controller.

It works perfectly well. My controller gets hours before needing a charge, but...it doesn't fit. It's too thick to fit in it. I can't close my controller correctly. Either that, or there is something I'm doing wrong; though I doubt that since I've opened and closed my controller before without a problem.Also, the connection wire on the battery is too long and this is when it is compared to the batter already inside of it. This also makes it hard to place it inside correctly.

Have been using this battery in my controller for a while now and it was working fine. It fit fine too.. Then buttons on my controller started pressing themselves it seemed in game play. Mainly the center button.I opened up the controller and found that it popped open, and couldn't get it back together tightly and cleanly. Turned out that the battery had started bloating and no longer fits in the controller. Ive seen videos of lithium ion batterys exploding in phones, and I don't know if this battery is quite the same, but people should be warned that this product has the potential to be UNSAFE or at the very least, won't fit your controller. Do not buy.

I bought this replacement battery for an old Dualshock4 that came with my PS4 purchased in January, 2010. The sticker on my controller had long ago worn off so I don't have the original model or serial number anymore. The original battery only worked for a few hours at a time and when I took it out it was swollen. Luckily, this replacement part fit perfectly in my old controller. The white plastic connector was the right size and the battery fit into the same spot as the original with no problems. After reassembling the controller, everything works great. I have been using the new battery for a few weeks with no problems and it is lasting much longer between charges - at least 8 hours. I have checked each button on the controller, including the touchpad, and they all work as expected.

This battery is a great replacement. My battery on my controller bit the dust and found this one for a reasonable price. It lasts twice as long as my original battery did when new. One thing I found that may help some others out. This battery is just a little thicker than the original. When I reassembled the controller I found that most of the buttons wouldn't register when being pressed, this was due to the pressure the thicker battery was placing on the center pad. If you back out the two top screws next to the left and right triggers just a little each it will relieve the pressure and remote works perfectly. This has a super long battery life and well worth the money.

I attached the battery to the Sony gold wireless headset, it looked like the old connector but it didn't go together without a lot of effort. However, the headset powered up and everything was looking good, until I realized that it was too thick to put the headset back together. So I went to remove the battery and the connector would come apart. So I grabbed some needle nose pliers and tried to grab the end of the connector it slipped off so I grabbed harder and crushed the connector. I won't be sending this battery back, but I can warn others not to buy this battery because the connector isn't the right size.
