Very good
Best in class range

Best in class for high-interference/high-density, plus 802.11r/k/v that actually works.
Ruckus is my go-to for set-and-forget business-grade wifi, and their radio performance, especially in high-interference scenarios (which are becoming almost the norm these days) completely smokes the SoC-based commodity stuff resident in almost every other solution out there (UniFi included). The R500-series is the best price-to-performance ratio at current street prices versus the 300 or 700 series, which are both fine products in their own right.Unleashed is an excellent option for those needing to deploy blanketed wifi without a discrete controller in smaller, flat-ish networks, with no more than 50 APs. You can be up and running in under 15 minutes, and they play very well in mixed-vendor stacks. For example, I install a lot of Ubiquiti ER-4 gateways with HPE ProCurve/Aruba or Cisco SG/Catalyst switches, and everything inter-operates beautifully (assuming you know how to configure each - VLANs, etc.). Seamless roaming and private and guest wifi all function as-intended and non-stop. The system also auto-heals if an AP(s) go(es) down, even the master (auto-failing over to a new master), then re-adopts the downed AP(s) automatically. All of that is simply the way distributed wifi should work. Especially in 2019.Compared to other products, I'd say Ruckus' strength lies in their actual radio tech and the client connectivity experience (BeamFlex+, ChannelFly, etc.), as opposed to having slick software (ie. UniFi) or a more polished vertical hardware stack (HPE Aruba, Meraki). So putting aside fancier dashboards and cloud control panels, Ruckus is tough to beat when it comes to providing the best physical connection possible in *most* scenarios. For those pro-sumers who can't grasp how an AP like this could ship without an AC adapter, I've got one acronym for you: PoE, the optimal and intended power source for any serious AP. Of course, they'll accept a standard 12V wall wart, but especially in a corporate setting, that's a very cludgy workaround; even a drop-in PoE injector would allow for much better placement and, consequently, performance of the AP.One last item: support. At least as of the time of this review, make no mistake about it, Ruckus is most definitely NOT a fan of any of their stuff being bought through Amazon, regardless of whether it's via a certified reseller. Not only would they be displeased to learn of this, they would likely go so far as to not support you if you have a deployment issue or warranty claim. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT before ordering. If you're OK with it, then Amazon can be a great way to get extra APs on-site in very short order; a good option for when the traditional sales channels would take too long. Hopefully, Ruckus will come up with a better way of supporting Amazon purchases in the future, because I can only see them increasing.Overall, a 5-star product, with a 4-star support and distribution network.

BeamFlex+ Wow. WiFi calls on iPhone are great.
update May 2020.bought two R510’s to replace two R310’s that were end of life.+++Details matter. BeamFlex+ feature adjusts RF energy for location of the mobile device and the orientation. The R510 (BeamFlex+) is 2x the cost of the R310 (BeamFlex).Easy setup. Added this R510 to existing R310s (the R310's are great too). Most of the Enterprise Ruckus features are available -- like setting up a Guest WiFi where they request access, you approve it, and they get the access key via email or sms.

Will not allow WiFi calling, horrible customer service
These access points will not allow WiFi calling! There may be a way to enable this feature, but there is nothing mentioned in the documentation. Contact tech support? Don't waste your time! I sent messages back and forth 14 TIMES with tech support. What are the serial numbers, where did you buy them, how long have you had them, blah, blah, blah. After all those messages and a week of wasting my time, they tell me I have to buy a support contract to get a simple question answered: How do I get the APs to allow WiFi calling. I'm pretty sure their tech support just enjoys stringing people along for as long as possible for their own amusement. If WiFi calling from your cell phone through your access point is an import feature, do not buy these!UPDATE: I'm now up to 20 messages back and forth, and finally got contacted by an engineer. He verified these units do not support WiFi Calling. He said WiFi Calling is supposed to be enabled on the next firmware version, 200.9. This version MAY be released September 2020. He also didn't know if the R510 APs would be supported with the new firmware. The current version 200.8, does not support the R310.Conclusion: Ruckus Unleashed APs may be the only WiFi APs out there that can't do WiFi calling. I can WiFi call on any public network anywhere, but these devices can't handle it.

Best access points out there
Not sure if these “fell off the turnip truck”Or what, but they are so much cheaper than anywhere else, and work perfectly. The hand off between access points when walking around the house is almost seemless, and they were beyond easy to set up. Great great product. I used 6 in my 6000 sq ft, 2 story house.

business grade
Ruckus stuff just works. Unleashed can be configured from a web browser without java, unlike ubiquiti.
