Not Exactly What I was expecting
This is an Absolute Beginner's guide, but I was expecting a bit more. It walks you through changing an existing template. I wish it would have been given ground up training. It doesn't even make a very good reference guide as it is so specific to the one template design it is showing you. I ended up using Lynda.com which has a few very good beginner tutorials on how to design a ground FileMaker app.

A Good Place to Start
This book is a good place to start, but you will need other resources to become proficient with the software.

It's a good introduction, after reading this one you have to go to Filemaker Pro 13 the missing manual

This book is probably OK, but I seem to learn better from Video.

Not An Absolute Beginner's Guide
As a tech challenged person, this is not really Absolute Beginner's Guide.

It has helped a LOT. I used to do ...
It has helped a LOT. I used to do Filemaker Pro and loosed a couple of upgrades. So this came in handy getting me to remember. Thanks

Not well done
The wording in the diagrams are so small and light that they are sometimes impossible to read ever with a magnifying glass. The directions and explanations seem succinct, but when I tried to actually use the program based on the book's information, I found it impossible and had to use other sources.
