OnixLegacy Pickleball Paddles - Evoke XL & Tear Drop, React, Inferno, Voyager, Summit

I am in year 3 of pickle ball play and my Voyager continues to impact my game in new and exciting ways. After I had been playing for 2 months, an experienced player took me to a pro shop that had an indoor court. I was allowed to try a number of top paddles, and after several hours of using different paddles, I kept coming back to the Voyager. It felt comfortable and made shots feel natural. During the coming weeks, I became increasingly confident as shot selection and execution improved. I discovered the power I could generate for baseline returns and surprising touch at the kitchen, After my first year, I got an Engage MX 6.0 as a way to diversify my game. It turned out to be a step down and a disappointment. I am on my 2nd voyager pro and thinking of adding the Voyager Evoke since it has similar specs with some advanced technology, In 3 years, I have not come across any other players using voyager paddles. Seems like every one follows the pack and buys what the high profile pros endorse. Meanwhile, Onix continues to build on the Voyager formula and the paddle keeps performing at a high level for guys like me that spend every waking moment on the court looking for somebody to stay and ply.

I have been playing PB for 5 years and gone through a lot of paddles. It seemed to me the honeycomb interior paddles seemed like they were designed to fail. I have broken off 3 handles and eventually they all seemed to develop dead spots, some very quickly. I love this paddle! It is a bit heavy, around 10 ounces, but I love the feedback you get from the solid wood. This is great for dinking, and has a great surface for spins. I like the raw wood handle and don't have to constantly be buying wraps. I can't afford to buy a new paddle every 3 months so this is a great option for me.

Great paddle! Love the edgeless design but; hate that the edge chips so easily. Solve it by using vinyl electrician tape to keep the chipping from happening.Onix Company needs to address this problem, especially at the price for this paddle.

My other paddle is a $30 oxin, good paddle, I’m playing at a little higher level now and wanted a paddle that can handle the spin better. Both paddles have soft grips. Seems to help with adding a little more spin and touch.

I just started Pickleball lessons they had a variety of paddles you can use this one was the best for me loved it so bought it on Amazon good price great delivery very pleased with purchase

UPDATE: I contacted the seller, Escalade Sports. They were prompt in responding to my emails (within a business day) and very professional and polite. They were able to resolve the situation to my satisfaction. So kudos to Escalade Sports! Excellent service. But the paddle keeps one star. Now, back to the original review...Purchased for beginner pickleball player. Liked the thin profile and small circumference handle. Paddle was not misused in any way; did not strike solid surfaces. Made it through about 30 games when paddle cracked at handle when returning a serve. A 125-lb beginner player can't return a ball hard enough to crack a paddle. There is obviously something wrong with the design. The thin profile comes at a price of poor durability. I would not recommend this paddle.

This paddle is excellent for blocking hard bangers and volleying at the net. Has the power I need and great control. For me personally, I'm having to adjust my back hand game due to the short handle.

I wish I could play as cool as this paddle looks.
