VERY PLEASED
This replaced my old fellows, which will now go into retirement at the beach house. This is a MUST HAVE if you have children around. The touch-shutdown feature is essential.Right up there with a "BATCH FED" garbage disposer. It's a workhorse, the first one is 12 Years old and still working.

Excellent shredder, but keep a dustbuster handy
I bought this shredder to replace a previous strip-cut shredder that was too weak and small for my home-needs. My fiance appreciated the fact that it looks similar to a desktop computer, and preferred it to the models where the shred-paper is visible. So far I've found it more than hefty enough for the task. Most standard size bills and promotional credit card mailers that I prefer to shred can be put through as is without opening them. When it does jam, it's easy enough to get it unstuck, in extreme cases by turning off the 'safe sense' finger monitor. The one drawback of this model, is that removing the output tray inevitably drops shreds of paper all over the floor. If you have cleaning staff emptying the shredder, this isn't an issue. However, if you are using this at home, prepare to have a dustbuster handy each time you empty the bin. For home, I recommend considering one of the models which will accept a garbage bag inside the catch-bin to avoid this messy process.

Liked enough to purchase another
Had this exact one and used it for three years before the gears gave out. Not sure why there are plastic gears used on the cutter heads. It does struggle with more than 10 sheets. I just shredded more than 10 sheets one to many times. But I liked it enough to purchase another one.

Should Have Listened to the Reviews
Reviews about this product were spot on and I should've listened. Its a great shredder but the bin is poorly placed and "always" makes a mess when emptied.Love the brand, love their durability, but some models are better designed than others.UPDATE: Still feel the same about this product. Experiencing all of the annoyances that everyone else listed in their reviews.Steer clear to better quality!

A little louder than I initially thought.
I ordered this unit because of the designs of the slide out bin and cross-cut features. This unit worked right out of the box with no issues what so ever. The only downside is that it's a little louder that than I initially thought. But, then again, this unit sits right next to me for fast easy shredding. Other than that it has performed flawlessly.

best shredder we have ever had
I really like how compact this shredder is; fits in our computer armoir great, so I can keep it away from the toddler. It shreds fast and only got jammed when our toddler decided to help and pushed in his puzzle pieces with the papers I was shredding.

Fellowes paper shredder
After four weeks of use I'm very satisfied with this shredder's performance. It handles several sheets of paper with ease. It also shreds light cardboard and credit cards as advertised. I've started using Wal*Mart's big paper bags to hold the output and complete the recycling cycle.

Durable moderate duty shredder
Bought this about 7 - 8 years ago for less than half the current price. Used at home for moderate duty paper shredding. Really struggled to shred more than about 4 to 6 sheets of paper at a time. After shredding many thousands of items per year, it finally broke (a piece of plastic and a metal locking ring came out). It will actually still shred, but the last time I used it I saw a puff of smoke come out of it and decided that it isn't safe to use any more. This shredder has been relatively trouble free except for the mess that others have mentioned. I would have bought another if the price hadn't gone up so much. It has actually worked better than some much more expensive shredders I have seen in the work place. It's probably okay to shred 8 to 10 sheets at once once in a while, but I would suggest not shredding more than about 4 sheets at a time on a regular basis to prolong the life of the shredder, especially since it runs slower with more sheets so some of the time saving is lost, along with wearing out the shredder more quickly.
