Amazon Basics Down-Alternative Mattress Topper Pad with Cotton Shell - Full

I have both this mattress topper and also another Amazon Basics topper, the  AmazonBasics Down-Alternative Gusseted Mattress Topper . There are differences between them, and I will tell you why I recommend the other one.Both fit our foam Sealy mattress fine, although the skirt could be made with a higher threadcount material. It's very stretchy and loose on both of them. Also, the elastic around the bottom is about the same, and could be made a little stronger to hold the topper more tightly against the mattress.The biggest difference is the padding in this topper feels like a thin foam. I believe it's polyester batting, but it's very flat and spongy. Another difference is the material on the top of this topper is a loose cotton. It's soft, but feels like it could be torn or poked through easily.The other topper has a much tighter and more dense fabric on top -- kind of like what you would see on a real down pillow or mattress topper. It also feels more like down and is thicker and more luxurious. The "gusset" is what enlarges the padding and makes it thicker and more puffy. So check the other topper with the link in this review and compare. I love this product. I have to have a very firm mattress for back support but don't enjoy the feeling of springs directly. I tried all sorts of toppers,. including a $150 memory foam piece. This mattress pad is by far the best!I tend to run hot and sleep best when I'm cool so I was worried about getting too warm while using this product. It is not an issue at all...this provides softness and comfort without adding any warmth to my bed. It feels like it's actually cooler than my regular mattress cover and sheets!The biggest difference I notice is how fast I fall asleep. It used to take me a while to get comfortable and settle it. With this mattress pad, I fall asleep almost as soon as I lay down. I also asleep better and don't wake with pressure point pains from my mattress anymore.This pad is not so thick that it restricts movement and no so thin that it doesn't work. It's the perfect blend and I couldn't be happier... especially for the bargain price!

Padding is thicker than I expected. Some have reported that the cotton cover is thin. Maybe a little but it seems plenty durable for under a sheet. We washed and dried it as soon arrived and the padding stayed nice and fluffy and not bunched up. Adds a layer of comfort and protection.

I like this mattress topper for the money. I have it on a Casper memory foam mattress. It feels just as comfortable as the Duck & Goose brand topper I spent 30 dollars more on. I like that this topper wraps around my mattress easily. My last one had those annoying elastic bands on each corner that never stay on. Make sure to wash and dry first. Drying the topper seems to make it more fluffy and you want to wash off any starch or other chemicals. I like that this product handles a warm wash and low dry. My last topper was cold cycle and tumble dry. It also exploded in my washer during the third wash. This topper seems more durable for 60% of the price.

I have been unhappy with my mattress for quite sometime and saving to get a new one. Finally I got tired of waiting and decided to get a topper in the interim. I was really skeptical that this thin topper would make a real difference. I'm very pleasantly surprised. My bed suddenly was transformed to a plush hotel bed. I don't think I need to buy a new mattress! I also wanted something to make me feel cooler as I get very hot during sleep. I had the AC blasting all night so cannot really comment on that aspect yet. Will try it without AC and update my review at some point.

I purchased this to use as extra comfort with the mattress pad I already had. However, it was so soft and comfortable that I disposed of my original pad and used only this one. It also feels nice to the touch. I would buy another one if I had a need for it.

Honestly It’s not worth it. If you’re getting it for the protection, by all means this works and wraps around the mattress, but i’m not sure if this is just a me issue or what but this did nothing to the comfort of my mattress. I was expecting it to make a huge difference based on the reviews i was reading and i felt... nothing. It made me very hot while sleeping which has never been an issue with me so i was having trouble staying asleep and would wake up with hot flashes in the middle of the night. If you are looking for a product to save your back i recommend getting an actual memory foam topper.

I am moving soon, so I didn’t want to spend a lot of money buying a new mattress until after the move, so I decided to make my bed comfortable again by getting this topper. It’s exactly as it says and looks. Very comfortable! Came on time! Love it!

Está muy cómodo y suave, la tela es de buena calidad, solo compré un sobre colchón de memory foam para más comodidad, pedí full size y esta perfecto para una cama tamaño matrimonial, además me llegó el mismo día que lo pedí, excelente producto

La verdad lo compre por que estaba rebajado. Pero para mi sorpresa el producto es muy comodo ya que mi cama,que es un poco dura, ahora es suave. LLevo solo 5 dias usandolo y la verdad no se si mantenga esa suavidad, pero por lo mientras va muy bien. Recomendable para dar una nueva vida a la cama. Y en cuanto al envio fue rapido y en tiempo. El cubrecolchón es muy cómodo, está lindo el diseño y tiene un buen tamaño, le quedó un poco grande a mi colchon, de la parte del resurte, pero no es problema. Lo imaginaba ligeramente más grueso, pero en realidad si es como está en la descripción. Me ha ayudado a dormir más cómoda y no siento que influya mucho en la temperatura a la hora de dormir, es decir, no siento que haga más calor con el, así que está muy bien.Es un buen producto y a un buen precio. Lo recomiendo.

Administro un alojamiento en AIRBNB, manejamos colchones ortopedicos y hoteleros, aun asi siendo comodos para extranjeros mayores teniamos ocasionalmente la queja de que eran muy duros para su confort. Y al adquirir este producto resolvio totalmente ese inconveniente, es una cubierta para colchon muy practica y facil de lavar que al final logro la diferencia en la comodidad para dormir para nuestros huespedes. Lo recomiendo totalmente y el precio es super accesible comparado a otros productos en el mercado.
