Wish I'd bought this years ago
I'm three days in with my new stool and I LOVE it. I'm so pleased with my choice.I'd been browsing wobble/balance stools for months, conscious my working posture wasn't great and aware of a bit of back pain. However, I held back, unsure about whether it would be worth the investment.Here were my concerns and my reflections on those now I have the stool:1) it will take ages to get used to using it. I thought I might have to wean myself into using it as it would be hard work. Not so. I've used it all day long from the first day - with ease2) it won't be comfortable. This is specific to this stool. Most of the others I saw had cushions. This one didn't, but the reviews about the design / quality were so strong I felt it might be worth the risk. I was right. I bought it thinking I might end up buying a cushion. However, I haven't found the stool uncomfortable. The top is not hard plastic, but a thin foam type material, so there is a tiny bit of give. Anyway, I can sit on this all day and I haven't once thought 'this is too hard'.3) the sitting position will be annoying or unsustainable. I haven't found this. I guess I didn't really get the idea, but the stool allows you to move about all the time quite naturally and I haven't once struggled to maintain a comfortable position.As I said, I bought this conscious of some minor back pain. That has already gone and I'm conscious already of an improvement in how my back feels that I'm now sitting correctly.Additionally, it's so easy to move around, with an under seat rim that makes it easy to carry. The underseat strap that lets you change the height is also easy to use.One final thing - some stools seem to be quite high for a normal desk height. This one goes quite low and fits my desk without any issues.In summary, I think this was a great purchase. I'm going to be using this for years.
