It’s ok
Bought to replace a lost whistle. I was a bit disappointed tbh, whistle doesn’t sound as sharp as my last one, but my dog still responds to it

Yes
The media could not be loaded. I bought two. One for me, one for my wife.Used on our puppy since the start. She is now 7 months old. This whistle is my favourite dog aid. Well made, Nice and loud, and she comes back to it which is the main thing. In the video that is the furthest she has been away from me. I blew the whistle and she came flying back. When you start with the whistle do a short blow and put a treat straight in the dogs mouth, after a few days of periodically doing this, be a few feet away and blow. Your dog will associate the sound with a treat. Keep doing this and get further away every few days. When out I used a extra long training lead with the whistle in a park or field.

Ordered 1, received 3 - didn't work
Needed one of these for a yappy Collie. Several methods had been tried prior to the whistle with no avail. The reviews and price here tho meant it was worth a try.The package arrived with 3 x whistles - not the 1x that was ordered.Sadly, despite using it and trying the commands the dog would not respond.

Works for Beagle recall
Works exceptionally well in training my 2 year old beagle to recall. In conjunction with an extremely high value treat - in my case dried sprats - he has come back every time on every walk immediately, including when distracted with other dogs or scents. This is a marked improvement over voice recall where often when distracted he would not come.I was between this and the highly recommended ACME 610.5 whistle, of which I've used before, but at 1/3rd of the price I decided to try and this an glad I did.Training steps, I have moved through these over the first week. I'd recommend training at least twice a day as part of normal walks.1) Use whistle in house, next to dog, give the high value treat2) Repeat, moving further apart in the house/garden blowing the whistle and giving the treat.3) Move outside to fields, start close, blow whistle and give treat.4) Start moving further and further away.5) Introduce distractions, other dogs etc, and start close and use the whistle and gradually get further away. Most important is not to start at such a far distance where the dog doesn't come, as this is essentially training them not to come back when they hear the whistle.

Honest review
A very nice whistle, sturdy & consistent in tone regardless of how hard you blow.Quite loud, it works a treat.Definitely gets my puppy's attention for recall.

Not a dog whistle!
Very loud, sturdy whistle. Unfortunately, that's not what I wanted! It's not a dog whistle, it can be heard by anyone, no matter what species, or how young or old you are!Only giving as many as two stars as I'm sure I'll be able to use it with Kobi for some things, but I needed one that cut through the air for longer distances and busier surroundings.
