Don't have the hassle with the weed eater or lawn mover anymore. Just lift up the down spout extension.I gave 5 except for durability because the aluminum didn't seem as beefy/thick and on the pivot point , as i expected. Also the aluminum for the down spouts is so thin, took the scrap pieces cut and inserted them to addmore strength just in case. Also added bolts to the zip hinge pivots, just snug them up to barely touch so to keep them from coming loose or bending? Maybe fine and never needed, just did it in case because the aluminum wasn't as thick as i thought. See photos. I recommend the hinges be used on all down spouts. Even with the extra work I did the hinges are easy to install. Watch the company's video.

You need some tools but I def love that they fit different sizes of downspout so you don't have to work like with the elbows. They feel sturdy too and have held up in a few rain storms.

I ordered a 6 downspout package and received 12 hinges (2 per gutter) but only came with enough screws for 4 gutters (8 screws per gutter) and only 4 retention clasps. The ease of install is great but need to buy additional screws and retention clasps.

I liked that the screws to install were included and they were sharp and easy to install. I found that the hardest part was cutting the gutter at 45 degree angle. Beyond that they were simple and easy to put up and down. I like them very much. Upon completion I wish I had made them fold up closer to the downspout. I raised them enough to clear the deck of my riding mower when they were up so I used a elbow. I could have just fastened on to the straight downspout and made that work too. Over all I like them. I searched for quite some time before I found something that was simple and reasonable to purchase and install.

Package arrived all in one baggie that was taped. I ordered the six pack and received six hinges and only enough screws and holding plate for four. Have to return

My plastic downspout extensions were looking pretty bad. I noticed my neighbor installed something new on her house. I found they were the Zip Hinge. Ordered them, bought downspout material, and in a matter of 30 minutes or less, I have all 6 extensions installed. They look great and I can mow easier because of being able to lift them out of the way. Highly recommend these.
