AcuRite dependability & accuracy at a budget price
This is my third AcuRite weather station. First was the colored display which I LOVE for two reasons. First is the easier-to-read color display. Secondly because it has a power cord with battery backup. The second one I bought as a gift. It was the full weather station with the outdoor gauge that actually measures rainfall, windspeed and direction. I understand the outside unit actually died after two years but it was a much-loved gift while it lasted. This unit is my third. I bought this cheapest model just to have an extra display in my bedroom. The color unit sits in the living room and still works great pushing 4 years of service. I did have to replace the outdoor sensor once but those are cheap. The only two cons of this unit are the harder to read display, simply because it is monochrome instead of color and it does not offer the option of a power supply so backlit is not an option.Other than that, it is a perfect, inexpensive unit that will remain dependable for many years.

Weather Station Tells Time and the Day and Date.
This weather station arrived quickly and in good condition. It would have seemed to make more sense to place the plastic air bag below the weather station box (when the label is facing up), but it arrived fine just the same. I really wanted a device for the outdoor and indoor temperture as wel as the day and date and indoor temperture which this unit does very well. With so much screen space the information could have been designed a bit larger, but this works fine for my needs. This unit also "predicts" the upcoming weather with various graphics (rain, sun, snow, etc.). Similar models in the stores cost $20 more, when they had something in stock that was similar. I researched this unit a fair amount both in person and online. This unit uses black letter/numbers against a gray background and is powered by AA batteries ONLY. There is no power adaptor to plug in. I hang mine on the wall but there is a swing out stand available on the back of the unit to display on a table. The buttons on the back are easy to access without opening the back of the unit. The buttons are NOT recessed like my previous unit from another manufacturer. (Why make the buttons hard to press everytime you have to replace the batteries?) These setup buttons are both raised and nice and wide for a finger, and are easy to press. Four buttons adjust the settings, up, down and Temp F/C. This review is for the AcuRite Model 75077A3. I would buy again.

Nice Colorful Display
I bought 2 of these 5 years ago in June 2018. One for our house and one for a motorhome to take for our first hot summer trip camping/boating.For my house it has worked perfectly until about a year or so ago. I find the outside temperature is reading about 5-10 degrees warmer than what my phone will show. Also the weather current icons haven’t matched up correctly the past few months.I have reset everything, even replaced the batteries in the outdoor sensor which is placed on a porch ground support post under shaded porch cover facing the house which is never in direct sunlight and is plenty ventilated. Sometimes it reads the outdoor temperature correctly after a reset and sometimes it doesn’t.I also discovered some mornings the date/time is off (resorts back to set up) and have had to reset everything probably a half dozen times or more. The only issue we had using this in the motorhome while summer camping (where temps are usually between 85-105 on the hottest days) was not realizing the bright display (which you can turn on, off or select dim) attracted those pesky teeny gnats (or whatever they are) all night long and discover them dead/laying all over around it in the morning and also the brightness kept a few kids from getting sleep too.The tabletop stand doesn’t give much to prevent from getting knocked over.Overall, it worked well the first 3-4 years (always plugged in at home) and was well worth the money. I love the colorful display, the large numbers/day of week (I’m visually impaired) and love how it tracks the daily high/low temps for both indoor/outdoor (it resets at midnight for the entire day).
