Affordable In Room Security
The media could not be loaded. The combination keypad and the ability to use a key lock is incredibly wonderful when you don’t have time to remember the changing combinations. This is great for any student dorm.

true hotel style
ordered to fit the space I had available, the only downside is the need to re-enter the combination both to open or close. Designed for the hotel experience and the ability to change the combination each time it is used. Other than that, great build and does exactly what I wanted it to do.

Contains a "passed Quality Control" sticker but I'm 99.9% sure no QA was actually done
So, there's a sticker on the safe that indicates the safe passed a quality control check, but the sticker was either put on the safe without someone actually checking to see if it worked properly, or the quality control person has really, really, really low standards. Why would I say this? The door for the safe I purchased is misaligned, and so anyone trying to close the safe would not be able to do so without using great force, and even then, the locking mechanism won't always work due to the misalignment of the door. Generally, for a safe to work, the door needs to be able to close, right? =PI previously purchased a Honeywell 5106 that I have used for over 8 years with no issues. The 5106 is out of stock on Amazon and so I purchased this model (5105 DS) based on my good experience with the 5106 and despite the other negative reviews for this model, but lesson learned. This safe is going back to Amazon.(Btw, I did try to align the door by putting weight on the door, and by turning the bolts to the door, but to no avail. Given the location of the bolts, it's very difficult to turn the wrench with any force.)

It is a good safe but needs improvements.
The safe has plenty of room in it. It is built sturdy with quality materials and the override key is not easily Duplicated. The draw back to it are that the maximum number of digits use in a combination is too short, the combination and the key aren’t independent. The key will always be needed to change combinations. There is no silent mode for the button. In many cases you can listen to the button being pressed and get the numbers like dialing a phone number. There may even be an app to translate the tones to numbers.
