Love it!! I love that you don't have to grease it at all before you use it. Read the instructions on how much batter to start with. It says 1/2 cup (use the measuring cup or comes with) as long as I never go over that amount, it never goes over and spills out. It heats up fairly quickly and cooks fast. Use the 2-3 settings in the beginning I've found certain batter is too cooked at 3 level 3, while others is perfect. Makes great waffles everytime! Not sticky, good value. Seems durable. Love the functionality. The plates don't come off, but honestly there's never anything left on them when the waffle is done so I don't have to clean it either. If you use a little too much batter the moat catches it. See pic.

I've had this for a few weeks and made waffles about once a week. Unit stays clean, the cord length is sufficient for my kitchen counter and the cord wraps around provided prongs and the unit stands on end for easy storage. I don't use the provided cup but just use a spoon to fill about 2/3 of the grid area with my batter. Most times my waffles come out looking nice and there is no overflow. When too much batter is added, it mostly spills into the provided catch groove and cooks there as well. The only issue so far is that when waffles are done, the top will always stick to the waffle at least a bit, so it requires some effort to lift the lid. You can release the catch with one hand, but then there's no easy way to firmly hold the bottom in place while you apply force to lift the lid. And the whole area where you are doing this is hot. I usually wind up using a plastic fork or spatula to press down on the bottom side of the unit while giving the lid some quick jerks to get it separated from the waffle. Then you'll need some kind of plastic utensil to extricate your waffle, usually from the bottom plate. So far, I've seen no problem with the unit heating up quickly or completely cooking the waffles. The "ready" /"cooked" light is small and, under bright lighting, it's not always easy to tell if it is on or off. But that seems to be a problem with all waffle makers since the beginning of time!

My review in short:Great and affordable waffle maker when used correctly! Size:This waffle maker is on the average size. The cooking plate is only about 6 inches in diameter.Disclaimer #1:Remember folks when pouring batter LESS IS MORE. Let me repeat, LESS IS MORE. Use the measuring cup that comes with the unit to pour the batter. For your first cook, pour 1/3 cup (MAXIMUM) of batter in the center of the plate, just so you can get an idea of how much the batter spreads when you close the lid. A 1/3 cup of batter will ALMOST fill the entire cooking plate once the waffle is cooked. It won't seem like a lot of batter when you pour it, but please, trust me when I say once you close the lid that batter WILL spread.I can guarantee you with 100% certainty that everyone who experienced batter overflowing everywhere, making a huge mess was due to pouring too much batter (even though it may not have seemed like a lot when pouring).Disclaimer #2I've read a lot of reviews claiming that the spill/overflow lip doesn't work. It does work, you just have to understand what the overflow lip is and isn't. The overflow lip IS simply to catch a SMALL (and I do mean small) portion of batter overflow, NOT the entire Pacific Ocean. Settings:You are able to adjust the cooking settings with a turn of a knob. This nob determines how brown the waffle will be. Turn the knob to the desired brownness and plug in the waffle maker. Once the waffle maker has reached cooking temp the light will go from red to green. I typically set mine to somewhere in the middle and it takes about 2-3mins to heat up before it's ready for the batter to be poured in. Once you pour in the batter and close the lid the light will turn from green to red (this may take a few seconds). When the waffles are done, the light will go from red to green.Cook Time:This will obviously be determined by how brown you want your waffles, but the waffles nevertheless cook quite quickly. Just be advised that this waffle maker does NOT "beep" to notify you once your waffles are ready. I do hear a slight "click" sound of the light turning green notifying that the waffles are ready but that is it, so you'll need to pay attention.Cleaning:To clean this unit I simply wipe it down with moist cloth and then a dry cloth.
