A very friendly book for a beginner. Just enough info without overwhelming. All TAB, no music reading needed. Lots of photos and diagrams. Better than the Hal Leonard books.

This course is an amazing value to take a student from the very basics in rock guitar through at least two or three years of instruction. I simply cannot believe how much material is included. The videos are extremely helpful, especially with young learners. My 12 year old son already knows how to read music somewhat, BUT this course is helping him in areas where he struggled. My 10 year old step-daughter is ecstatic that this is available for her to use now. She had been using YouTube videos and printed materials that confused her.There are videos throughout the entire ebook, located on the exact page where they are applicable. No searching, no loading CDs. Perfect for teens! The videos help with everything from holding the pick to helping train the ear to different chords.I think this is a great course for dedicated older children and adults. My 10 year old is very dedicated and has a high reading level so this program is perfect for her age and above. I previewed their other course geared for younger children and I can't wait to try that one with my other daughter.Damon is so personable and friendly. He is extremely talented and an excellent teacher. It isn't easy to find both of these qualities in an instructor. His videos are easy to follow and extremely clear. I'm so happy I found this program for my children. Where in the world can you get such a value for three years of music instruction for your children? I love it! I shared it with everyone I know.** Just a tip: The videos were taking a while to spool in HD quality. When I switched to standard video, the quality was just as great and the videos never hesitated again.

I really appreciated the fact that this is set up for those who may need a little help getting started. For instance, perhaps you are shy or the thought of diving into a new endeavor in front of someone who is very experienced may intimidate you. I would like to take up guitar again and it makes it all the more doable for me to think that when I do, I can do it in the comfort of my own home. I'm a mom with young kids, and getting the kids taken care of so I can go attend regular lessons is something that is not going to happen for me right now. So here I can pick up this book after the kids go to bed and begin to pursue a musical outlet. I like the emphasis on having fun with it. And still I have access to a professional in the brilliantly linked instructional videos. I can't wait to start playing! This book will also help take a beginner with no previous musical instruction and introduce them to a world of music, or build on the knowledge that someone with a musical background has and take it in a whole new direction. Thank you for giving this to the world!

I just started going through this, but so far it is such a simple and comprehensive approach. I tried learning guitar years ago with a private instructor, and got quickly frustrated and overwhelmed and quit. But this book walks you through the basics, step by step, and is very easy to follow. The videos are great for getting a better picture of how things work, but honestly the content of the book alone would be enough to get you through the lessons.I love how much material is in here too. It's easy to learn and get through, but I feel like I could keep learning off of this for a couple of years before I needed to step up to something more advanced. And the language is very simple and straightforward, so even kids could really take to this on their own very quickly. Hoping to get my little cousin to give it a look so he can try and learn to play a guitar he got for Christmas!

As someone who is not musically inclined I found this book to be quite informative and easy to use! I love how the lessons were broken down in easy to understand steps and then there was an exercise associated with each step to reinforce what was taught. I appreciated that the exercises were varied and not repetitive. It's easy to get caught up when you are doing the same thing over and over again but this really forces you to think and practice each new lesson.The videos were great. Again I appreciate the ease of use and it made me feel comfortable throughout. Before this I would not have even thought about trying to learn the guitar because lessons would be expensive and difficult but after this book I think it is definitely a goal I can attain! Thanks for this great product and I look forward to checking out the rest of the books written by Damon.

I love how this book is set up. I am musically challenged and this book is geared towards all types of people as you can be beginner (like me) or skip ahead if you are more musically inclined. I was able to learn the basic parts of the guitar and the names of the guitar strings quickly with the set up. Being able to start at the basics has enabled me to want to learn guitar when I was always overwhelmed before.I also love how there are videos incorporated into the book. Being able to watch someone perform and show me what they are doing is what helps me learn. I cannot just read something and know what to do so having the option to look at a video to help me with learning my lesson is a tremendous help. This book is definitely great for people with different learning styles.

I’m thankful and happy that I can learn very much cause everything is easy to understand and that even difficult things are written there and that amazing is that very much different musical Things are explained there and it’s the best Electric Guitar book I ever had I’m very thankful and happy for the kind person who made this beautiful book Thanks sooo much!!!!!!!!!

This a great learning tool. I am still working on it but it has been a excellent help.

So after reading reviews I was looking forward to this book, but when it arrived it turns out to be a colouring book inside. Unsure what has happened but will be returning this item.

This book is very instructive the only thing letting it down is having to see the instructor on the computer which is tricky with the guitar in front of you.

It is fine and easy to understand but at the moment my guitar learning has gone on back boiler
