This Buffalo box is just so beautiful. I love how the artisan has made the buffalo by using different types and colors of wood to create the image of a buffalo. Just Beautiful.Plus bonus points for the Item arriving on time, undamaged and as described. It's nice when sellers do what they say and they send you the item as it is described on their amazon page. With so many Amazon 3rd party vendors playing so loose with the rules and with so much "fudging of the facts" by 3rd party Vendors it is refreshing to have things go so smoothly. Its nice to get what I ordered, as described and on time :)

This is a birthday present for my young son to be used as a trinket box. It is unique and beautiful which is exactly what I was looking for. It is large enough to put a lot of things in and yet not too large as to take up too much space on his dresser. I'm very happy with it and I'm sure he will be too.

Based on the description I thought I was getting an item that had an intricate hand laid design on the lid. What I got was a nicely made little box that has a printed image on the lid. While it does showcase what the grain and colors of the woods look like, it was not what I thought I was paying for. The box should be larger based on the price or cost less. I got it as a gift so I am not returning it, but I did not receive the value I paid for.

I work with exotic woods to make jewelry and trinket boxes. MY personal cost is any where from $75 to $200 per item. I am amazed that they can sell these at such a low price. The inset hinges are remarkable. There are times that brass hinges cost me $30 a pair. Just for the hinges! I can easily see the craftsmanship and the techniques used to make these boxes. But for the life of me I can't figure out how they produce the image on the lid. I've done considerable in-lay work and no matter how fine I sand you can always feel a little of the wood grain. These lids are smooth as glass. Totally amazing. I am both impressed and completely satisfied with this purchase. Obviously I RARELY would purchase a wood box since the majority of what I've seen doesn't measure up to what I feel I can produce. This is a total exception. I can see how these boxes could end up a family heirloom. Very, very pleased. Thank you for this work of art.

This beautiful box is really a treasure. I appreciate the various woods being identified that make up the box. I would love to see (and purchase) other animals depicted on similarly well crafted boxes such as quail, red foxes and pikas. Thank you for your high quality products.
