FMF Racing EFI Programmers 014403

I purchased this for my 08 wrr 250. I bought the bike with pipe and header pipe. It had a lag on exceleration that bugged me. I put this on in about an hour. The directions are a little hard because the pictures they use are a little hard to see. Bike started right up and the hesitation was gone. I think I can tell an increase in low end torqe as well. I've only ridden it a bit but seems like it is going to be cool.******Update, I've ridden several times now. It fixed the histation on take off but there is sometimes a catch on decelleration that makes it jerk forward. Also riding this morning in traffic and the bike started to die som much I had to pull to the left shoulder on the freeway. It started again but not sure what that is about. Can't say for sure that its the power programmer but never done that before.

the actual tuning is a bit hit or miss at first but once you get your bike dialed in it really makes a difference in the way the bike delivers power. great purchase bike runs clean and mods work like they should with proper tune..

Works great but I have a bad studder when at slight throttle in 5th about 50 the bike acts like it is shut off until I let off the throttle and back on like the fuel is wide open or shut off. Only does it now and then hot or cold, I have played with the tune up and down with the same results tried every thing but taking it off the bike.

Included instructions could be a little more legible, but I was able to find detailed instructions on the manufacturers website.Once I found the instructions online, installation was a breeze.I like the operation of the programmer, and I feel like, along with other mods, It has given a noticeable difference in hp.

Super easy install if you have any mechanical knowledge. Stock fuel map is for a pipe and stock airbox and runs great with the FMF Power Core 4. You must get a programmer if you do anything modifications to the airbox. A pipe is fine without a programmer but definitely helps smooth out the power and alot more grunt.

I have a good understanding on how programmers work and I decided to remove this programmer after it consistently bogged my bike down coming out of corners and driving at 65 mph on the freeway. I adjusted everything and it still created a "bogging down" like too much fuel to the point where the bike lunges and throws a good rider off balance. I discourage anyone from purchasing this part. Furthermore, its not made by FMF, it's outsourced to Dobeck Performance. I've had little luck returning the item, the Amazon Seller did not help me at all and FMF/ Dobeck don't seem to be stepping up.
