Great daily driver
I bought this because I wanted an automatic watch which showed the inner workings and which had a watch strap which was metal but wasn't the metal watch strap type with the large connecting pieces. This was the only one I could find ticking all those boxes (Amazon has the Fossil Neutra in a number of different styles, but this is the one I went for).I'm very happy with it. I really wish it had a date indicator, but I knew that wasn't there before buying.I've never had it come to a stop as long as I wear it for a handful of hours each day. It is very, very easy to get it back on time if it goes out of time, which I was worried about as a first time automatic buyer; takes like 10 seconds to fix it. Crucially (!), it runs *too fast* when I wear it -- this was the most important thing for me, as if it ran slow then if I was running for a train I would still have to fish my phone out of my pocket rather than just look at the watch in case it had, say, lost 4 minutes and I was being overly optimistic. Better to be pessimistic about timing.I've no interest in owning a watch as a "collector's item" that sits in a cupboard or only comes out for special occasions, not least because I don't have the money for frivolous spending like that, so it was important to me that this could be comfortably used every day. I have thin wrists, but out of I think 11 default settings for it I have it at the third thinnest, so still room to get smaller, and it fits well. A Fossil shop will modify the strap length for your wrist for you for free. NOTE: automatics often cannot be engraved, as Fossil do not do engravings on glass-backed watches, which a lot of automatics are.I've had the face scratch a small bit in the 4 months of wearing, but it's not noticeable without close inspection. Though I am very careful with my things, I think it became scratched when it rubbed up against some sand + a metal button on my coat. It's lasted 4 months just fine, and still thankfully runs too fast, but only by about 5 minutes every week-ish. Hopefully it lasts 15/20 years! If it lasts 10 years, and I get good daily use out of it before moving on to a new watch (for whatever reason), that's a £18 per year purchase. Good enough for me.

Great value and high quality
Great price and really well finished. The watch looks brilliant and is very clear to read and simple to set. The only nitpick is that it gains a few seconds a day so after a week or so it runs about a minute fast.
