The results are going to be varied depending on how fine the protein powder is. Redcon1 has yet to disappoint me when paired with this shaker, specifically the blueberry cobbler mix. Prime protein on the other hand has had chunks no matter what shaker I use and it seems to be because of how fine the powder is. I think the protein is great and and all but it just doesn't mix well. I also personally do put the spring ball in this shaker even though it may not need it, the centrifugal motion paired with the ball helps break things up all that much faster imo. Lid works great, carabiner hook is nice and I get no leaks from the threads so 5/5 for me, will likely buy the metal version next.

I have a wide variety of shaker bottles that I use for everything from protein shakes, meal replacement shakes, and supplement powders. All the shakers do the same job, mix ingredients with a liquid, but they definitely do not clean up the same. I saw this product on Amazon and it just seemed too simple to work, but I though I would give it a shot. To my surprise it mixes my shakes up thoroughly and when I am done all I need is a small amount of soap, some really good shakes, and the bottle is ready to go for the next day. It is simple, does the job, and clean up is a breeze. Sometimes simple and basic designs can be the best and this product is proof.

I've used another shaker bottle for years. The kind with the metal spring ball. I also use the Orgain Protien Powder. This powder is very fine and clumps together easily. I found with my old bottle that if I added the powder first then water it would cling to the bottom edges and not fully mix. I also found that even after shaking it vigorously for several minutes the metal spring ball would not fully mix the powder and I would get clumps.This is not the case with the bottle. I've tried both adding the powder first and then water, and water then powder and both produce a smooth shake with no clumps or gritty feel.The only negative I can find of this bottle is the markings for how much liquid I put in. The gray bottle I ordered is slightly opaque, so I can see the S logo on the outside, but the ML and OZ marks are not visible at all. Because I am able to see the S logo, I used a measuring cup to measure out the proper amount of water and noted where it was on the S logo. Luckily for me it was right where the top and bottom halves of the logos met.I haven't tried to mash a banana in it yet, but I'm eager to try. That's not why I bought this, but it would be a nice plus.Summary:- Great for mixing fine protein powder- Really easy to clean- Removable lid is a plus to clean under- Don't get this if you want to measure any amount of liquid, the markings are barely visible- If you need to see the liquid level go for the gray or white, as I'd imagine the matte black is not see through at all.

Love that this thing doesn't have a ball. The color I got lets you see the markers if you hold it up to light, which is great because it keeps the thing dark but still usable. It's pretty durable; the only weak points would be the sliding lid and the hook. The hook might come off if you force it...so just don't do that. the lid can come off completely (which is nice for cleaning) but just be a little careful with it so that, again, you don't break it. It completely breaks up protein powder which is much better than trying to mix it up with a whisk/fork. The best part (besides that it doesn't have a ball) is that it's just fun to hold and really cool; it's not just another boring bottle. It looks like a grenade, and I like grenades.

It's ok. I like it for its ease of cleaning, but no matter what they say, it doesn't mix as well as a mixing ball will. It works fine, but you will have some chugs in whey protein shakes. I'm fine with that, but if you are looking for the best mixing job, I would look elsewhere.

Hate the shake ball! This thing saved me from lots of car rides where I don’t have to hear that ball everytime I make a turn. Blends well after different directional and circular shaking. You just have to find the best way to shake it

Great shaker bottle that I use daily. No need for that wire ball and it stores easily. Clean up is easy as you can break it down with no issues. Would recommend this product to anyone going to the gym as the little handle is build well and makes transporting it easy.
