Had for 2 years and LOVE it
In June of this year I will have had this printer for two years and it is still going strong! I do a lot of printing, bith color and everyday printing. It prints out beautiful photos!! I love that the inks are not very expensive. It prints heavyweight paper with ease. I would highly recommend this printer to anyone!!

Handles Cardstock like a champ for my fellow DIY Brides
I bought this printer to work as both an every day printer on regular paper, as well as for crafting my own wedding invitation suite. When I bought this printer, I was looking for an affordable printer that could handle heavy card stock. I initially bought it thinking I would use 110 pound card stock paper, but I can now say that it prints on 140 pound paper like a pro. (I did feed this weight one by one into the rear tray). The colors and fonts are crisp and beautiful. For anyone who is a fellow DIY-er like me, stationer, crafter, or everyday printer, this is a great option at an awesome value. I’d imagine it’s great at printing full color photos too but I haven’t tried that yet.

Basic, single-sided printing only
This printer would be good for a person who prints a single pages from the same one or two devices while on the same Wifi signal. This is not good for printing double-sided documents or for multiple users on different types of devices or who have different printing preferences.I bought this to replace an all-in-one Canon Pixma that finally died. This iX6820 uses the same ink cartridges, which was the primary reason I chose this model; we have a lot of left over ink to use.**Set-Up**The printer set-up was confusing because I was using my phone and the only instructions for connecting to the WiFi were buried in an app. It doesn't make sense there wasn't a simple 'connect to wifi' instruction in the Getting Started papers. Once it was connected to Wifi, it's easy for a computer or phone to connect.**Lack of information for errors**Once connected, we learned another challenge related to set-up. One of the default settings was to auto-detect the size of the paper, so when my daughter tried printing a photo 4x6, it refused to print and flashed yellow, indicating an error. The only way I was able to stop the job and reset the printer was by powering off and on. However, we still didn't know what caused the error and how to prevent it in the future. The problem is that the flashing yellow light is the extent of the information provided on the printer. This light is the only one on the unit that's not either the power or WiFi. It could just as easily indicate a paper jam as an empty ink cartridge. There no LCD screen to explain, and the printer status on the app is only described as an error. The trouble shooter is actually a link to the digital user manual, which basically told me to check the app.I eventually identified the problem was the default setting for 'auto-identify paper size' meant that the 8 1/2"x11" paper that was loaded was incompatible with the 4"x6" photo my daughter was trying to print. un-checking 'auto-identify paper size' then allowed the 4"x6" photo to be printed on the 8 1/2"x11" paper.**No Double-sided Printing**Beware - this does not print double-sided! However, the printer preferences allow you to select 'duplex' printing, which is very misleading. In reality, it'll print on the back-side if you manually move the paper. I'm annoyed that not a single review mentions this. Am I the only person who prints multiple pages at a time and likes to save paper????

Print quality is professional grade Wireless set up could be more consumer friendly.
High quality photo printer. Replacement Ink is on the expensive side. Would be nice if canon made eco tank printers in this quality. Seemed to go through the starter inks rather quickly. But can update once I go through new inks I just got that are hopefully full.Didn’t come with cord needed to get the wireless set up so had to purchase separately. Wireless set up process could be more user friendly but was able to get through it, at least for one of my computers.

Excellent Printer with some things to know beforehand...
5/18/24 Update:So I still love this printer many years later and wanted to add an easier way to connect this printer to the internet wirelessly! Firstly make sure you have the driver for this printer, then you hold the wifi button down until the power button flashes once, then release the wifi button and it should be blinking. Within 2 minutes, go to your router and press the WPS button and that's it!I've had this printer for a day so I might come back and edit this, but as of now I am very satisfied with the results so far! I've printed on normal paper and adhesive vinyl/sticker paper and both are very high quality! I have some gripes that made the setup annoying but here are some tips that can hopefully make it easier for you because this is an amazing printer! The initial setup with the machine itself was very simple, but I ran into issues when connecting it to the internet.1) This does NOT come with a USB cable or ethernet, which could've made connecting to wifi a lot easier; without a touch screen and cables, connecting to wifi appeared impossible for me. Luckily I had an ethernet cable handy which worked right away; this allows for wireless printing which is part of what makes this printer very good in my opinion. You also have the option for wired printing which requires a USB 2.0 Printer Cable - A-Male to B-Male Cord (I got one on Amazon as a backup in case I run into wireless issues). Both cable connections are located on the back-right of the machine with the ethernet port covered with a gray plastic piece.2) **For Mac, but might be the case for other machines as well** Make sure when you connect your computer to your printer that you don't download it as Airprint because that is a setting for your phone, which has limited capabilities. This is important because it didn't allow me to print on my sticker paper/adhesive vinyl and made me think it wasn't capable of doing so despite other reviews claiming to be able to do so. You know this is an issue when you go to print and the paper takes the paper, scans it, and then spits it out blank and shows up as an error. Make sure your paper is good for inkjet printers and NOT laser!!3) Ink is expensive for this, BUT I got ink from Arthur Imaging which has a set of 4 for about $20 which is an amazing deal! I have yet to comment on the ink consumption but I'm sure other reviews can tell you about that.Overall the printer allows for a variety of print sizes and paper types, and I'm excited to see how this works! Great for both documents and art pieces, and I could not recommend it enough! A lot of the 1 star reviews talk about how hard it is to set up which I agree with, and is the reason I cannot give this 5 stars, plus the fact that it boasts having USB connectivity despite not having one... could've at least made that very apparent Canon... But otherwise great! Also it is pretty big so make some space for it.
